Charlie's famous headed goal against deadco.
Tramping the dirt down........and putting my coupon up, what a day!
This picture tells you everything you need to know about the management team and tactics at Deadco; here we have one of the tallest players in the Celtic team, at a corner and the nearest opposition player is how many yards away?

Thinking about it that might be the one thing I miss about them; Turkey Shoot defending like that!
TBF the bold Charlie did make an excellent run from about 40yards out.

No denying he made a great run, but someone in that defence must have had the job of marking him, yet no one even looked for him, a failure of epic, dynamic, spectacular levels.

The second in that game is still one of my favourites, not just because Commons had endured a pretty miserable season, scoring only 1 (which makes the fact that he's now got 51 for us all the more remarkable), but mainly for Broonie's leap over and grin toward the perma-raging hun.
I did laugh when I saw that on TV later.

Must have been even tougher to choose who to support for the Glasgow Irish back then?

Is that the 88 final? Can't imagine the cops would let that many fans on the track side for the 89 final against deadco.

When Celtic players were part of their community.

The current lot would turn their nose up at any presentation.

Too busy with their agents and iphones and the like
