St Marys school, Calton.
That pic is taken from the school; that is the pitch built on the old graveyard, and the tenements are on Gallowgate.

I pass this site everyday ,my work is in Tobago St, and although the Chapel has been spruced up and is looking good, the grounds behind
the old school and the site where the original hall where the hoops were formed is a mess. Wish the club would do something to tidy it up and even
put something to commemorate our founding on that site. Could at least send a couple of the diggers up from Celtic park to tidy it up

or maybe some of our fans could get together to do something,i would be up for that

The lands is privately owned now by a Tim.

The owner is proposing to build flats but has given some of the land to St.Mary's to rebuild a Church Hall should they ever be able to finance one - We know Father White has plans for a Church Hall and it his ambition to achieve it.

Easter rd ?
Yes, definitely Easter Road.

The old terracing at the side of the ground used to have that telly gantry up at the back.

think this is Dixie in the Scottish Cup game in 1975, he scored and we won 2-0 there. It was packed. It says 36,000 in record books but at time it was talked of as 40-odd thousand. Stood on that side terrace that day. Amazing feeling to be so high up - compared to the jungle - and green where ever you looked

it looks like Muirton [St Johnston ]to me although there is at least a dozen Scottish grounds it could be.
Need the true experts in the goalie could be the giveaway.
Johnston for rolls is the giveaway for me
Full wording on the ad was : Firhill For Thrills - Johnstons For Rolls !
i'd say our n.10 is Vic Davidson. :ponder:
