Im sure the one when the Govan stand was being built was 79-80.
I remember the game where we drew 2-2 early on, and I think we came from 2-0 down with late goals from Sneddon and McAdam, and just seeing the bare open side across the park because we were in the enclosure under the main stand (when we used to get given that.)'
You could well be right, but I know that they did the Copeland and the free Broomloan first, and I don't thing they were much earlier than that.
the 2-2 game (1979) was played with no Broomloan Rd Stand, they opened the Copland Rd that day.. see pic

Right, so chronologically, it would make sense that they did the Copeland first, then the free Broomloan (in 1979 as per your pic)

The the Govan in about 1981ish?

Does that sound about right?...

The Copland was opened in Aug 79. First game was against us - 2-2 draw.

Broomloan was opened in Aug 80 first game was Spurs at Ibrox. Our first appearance was Nov 80 when we lost 3-0.

Govan stand was opened in Sep 81 first game against us when we won 2-0 and we got a about a quarter of it only for the polis to kick us out of it and put the fans in a dangerously over packed enclosure.

That pic is definitely from April 1981 when we won 1-0.

All cleared up!

I was convinced it was 1981.
