The wee old woman with the hat and glasses is the spit of my gran who died back in 87. I may have to show this to my aunt to see if it is my gran.

Johnny Divers I think.
Could be the 9-0 game from 1963-64 (6-0 at HT); both he and Big Yogi got a hat-trick with one each for Gallagher, Murdoch and Chalmers. Haffey missed a penalty... or rather the Airdrie 'keeper (Samson?) pulled off a brilliant save to tip it over the bar.

You could be right. I was at the 9-0 game and probably only Frank Haffey would have missed the penalty.

I've had a closer look and out number 4 is big John McNamee. He didn't play in the 9-0 game. However, he was in the team when we beat Airdrie 3-1 at Celtic Park in 1962-63 and Divers got two goals that day.

I'd reckon that's from the Huns game in 1968 or 1969 (can't remember which year) in which we beat the Huns 2-0 with Murdoch and Auld scoring in the first few minutes.

It's a great pic.
September 12th 1970, 2-0 for the 'Tic.
Was sat i "the posh seats" North Stand just in front of the boxes for the St Johnstone League clincher and will always remember Bobby Murdoch in the box right behind us. Just before kick off turned round to see a fist clenched,. gritted looking Bobby Murdoch as if to say "We can do it" and the look of sheer joy on his face at the final whistle. Bobby Murdoch Celtic through and through. This picture says a thousand words to me excellent photo

That bed was behind the old information bureau in George Square; on the other flank of the bureau there was a bed dedicated to the Huns in recognition of the fact that they had reached the ECWC Final against Bayern.

La Vita now occupies the corner where the tobacconist's is in the pic and the bank is now The Counting House.
