Never seen that before. An absolute belter.
Judging by the corner flag - that is Celtic Park. But which part of the ground is it?Corner of the enclosure, in front of the old Main Stand, at the Rangers End is my guess?????
The crowd are facing into the sun and Bertie is taking an out-swinger, which makes me think it's directly opposite where you suggest... at the end of the Jungle nearest the Deidco end.

No idea of timeframe or opposing team, is it even Celtic?
Deffo Celtic, Joe Dodds on the right.
Opposition looks like Aston Villa.
The running track is still there behind the Rangers End (check the size of it!!) and it was removed in 1913 so its pre 1913.

if it is Celtic Park then it has to be the Celtic End in the background ........ going by the shadows :cartuja:

Could that be the 1-1 game from 1911? Was sick with the consumption that day.

Funny to see yourself in a picture from the 1960s.
Taken at the Celtic End/Jungle corner flag.
Can assure you that is not the same white coat my old man is wearing at the City Hall the night after the "rebels had won" meeting in 1994.

Picture was taken by cameraman behind the goal at the Celtic End.
A giant copy of the photo was in the window of Scottish Daily Express??? office in St Vincent St for a week after the game.
Cad had a copy of the newspaper pasted to the wall in Bairds for years.

Another game against the Bully Wee Clyde.
This one looks like it may have been at Douglas Park, Hamilton, where the "Gypsy Army" parked their caravans for a couple of years in the early 1990s.

Definitely Joe Dodds - Other Celt could be McNair (albeit a bit too big for him) so maybe Sunny Jim (about the right size).

Agree Villa.
Defo the 1912 Villa game at CP - McNair and Dodds defending the goals is a good shout. (right & left back with Sunny Jim in the background)

A bit puzzled wae the photo so messed about wae it, could it be flipped and that's Delburn/Janefield st tenements on the left?

Fae the same game.

Nobody seems to be wearing any green and the only scarf you can see is an old school hun scarf.

Is it a scarf?, thought it was the lining of the chap's coat.

From the days when the "Jungle" was very much your da and your uncle zone.
Back of the Celtic End was the place for the flag wavers.
And that was at a time when flags and banners especially green ones were frowned upon by the city fathers.

As for Celtic selling you anything afraid your limit was a programme and a pie and bovril.
Not forgetting your Celtic View on a Wednesday.
And oh the wee green book at the start of the season.

The first Celtic scarf i bought cost me 12/6 (62p) from a shop next door to the Empire Bar in the Saltmarket.
