Is old faither in goal for Hibs in this game ,and would Big Jock have been
their boss.
Jock was only at Hibs from 1 April 1964 until 8 March 1965; Simpson joined Celtic in November 1964. I don't think Jock ever managed Hibs in a game against us. The 1963-64 league game against Hibs at CP was on 13 March 1964* ; both league games against Hibs the following season were after Jock became Celtic manager: we lost 4-2 at CP, but pumped them 4-0 at Easter Road a couple of weeks later.

* Finished 5-0 to the Hoops: Murdoch (2), Chalmers (2), and Divers. I would suggest the pic is from that game.

Evan Williams looks on at a break in behind his goal against Hibs at Hampden in 1972.

Thing is, is it the Drybrough final or the SCF ?

Anyone recollect this and what's going on ?
Defo not the 1972 SCF. I was sat in the Hibs end of the old main stand with my Hibs supporting great uncle  . Saw plenty of bottles flying back and forth but no "pitch invasion". My greatest ever Celtic game... :worthy: ...I'll never forget him telling me: "For God's sake sit doon!" every time the Celts scored. 6-1! Sheer bliss! Just love this thread!

Does anybody remember a Celtic v Hibs game at Hampden when the ball seemly went out of play for a goal kick, Evan Williams went crazy because it was kicked back to him by a small bottle evader standing behind the goal.
The ball might not have went out of play tbh.
