Who photoshopped the guy that was carrying him out of the picture? It wasn't me, it took me a year to figure out how to post a picture in the first place.
Ithink this might have been a pk at [Aberdeen],big Roys shot was saved but he netted
the rebound.

how skinny is Alan Rough?

Looks like Gregory out of Gregory's Girl

He was not like that later in his career. Think he inherited Frank Munro's shorts when he played for us!
Looks more like Dee Hepburn

No info from me sadly,it was on the Record website a couple of weeks ago when they were promoting their books about us and the Govan Departed

Thought they might have put that image into this recent publication which they're bosses trinity mirror brought out recently, well i just got it recently. mostly full of Celtic pics that can be found in this thread.

I was going to get that, is it any good?
Was extremely disappointed by it in all honesty. Maybe because every image can be found on here. Only bought it as a collector of books Celtic.

Was thinking it was Pittodrie myself. Didn't Roy go through a phase of smashing penalties straight down the middle around this time? Might be the match/incident we both have in mind.

Pretty sure this was the 1-1 draw at the end of the 84/85 season - Aitken smashed it home directly from the penalty, no rebound. They equalised and all but sealed the title.

A few seconds after this Paul McStay got struck with a coin and ended up with a rather nasty black eye.

A quick Celtic Wiki check has this picture attributed to this game:

Celtic v Diedco 1913
Unseen images like this are the reason why i come into this thread Lincolnbhoy :worthy: Any info ?

Sorry i have enlarged it to get a few names in.

Good guys spotted -

Back row: Jimmy McMenemy (flat cap) think that might be Charlie Shaw next to him? Eck McNair, Jimmy Quinn (coat on)

2nd row: Peter Johnstone (coat on), ? Think thats Mulrooney the goalie next to Sunny Jim Young, ?

3rd row: Will Quinn (Trainer), Willie Loney, Willie Maley (Manager) ? Davie Hamilton (ex good guy who left us the year before :cuckoo: ) Joe Dodds,

Front Row: Joe Cassidy, Patsy Gallacher and Andy McAtee.
Can't say much fairer than that FLC.
Got yer Davie Hamilton mixed up wae yur Alec Bennett and widnae go wae Charlie Shaw but apart from that a very good piece of work.
