I miss the old songs at CP, I miss proper tackling, I miss the temporary stand.

1) Sepp Maier's goalkeeping gloves.

They were as big as the goals!

2) The magic sponge - now a magic spray.

3) Corners swung into the box - I'm sick of these short corners, or corners to the near post.

.....however, i do not miss the old Mitre ( hard as a brick) footballs at school games.

 I miss them too. The foghorn owner would start the "doo doo, doo, doo, doo, doo doo doo doo, CELTIC" chants, but the other supporters would then clap the "doos" and said foghorner would never be able to keep up with the clapping pace.

I'd go with the goalposts thing. When I was wee there was something cool and exotic about teams with different coloured nets or big mega square posts. It made every ground seem different.

Now every away ground seems to be wee, tight and crap. Back then they were crap but big(ger anyway) with fancy goals.

I also miss the crap adverts at the side of grounds - "Be all you can be - winners don't smoke" and such.

I miss the Scottish Cup Final being one of the biggest occassions of the season (complete with pre-match bagpipes and glorious sunshine).

I miss getting excited because Super Scoreboard was coming on. "Last 5 minutes of the first half and the whole of the second half live!!".

I miss listening to the huns playing whilst we played (complete with half time announcement of their score).

I miss looking for the TV cameras when I got into the stadium to see if the game would be on TV later.

Having a minutes silence/applause all the time now.

People used to die and it wasn't a football matter unless they played for the club.
Nothing worse than public outpourings of grief for someone you don't care about.
