“When I first arrived at Celtic, I thought I understood the tradition of the club, but I didn’t. The Scottish boys helped me. I had to learn and I was soon addicted to Celtic. I started to understand the culture and in time it became like an infection. It’s still with me. Regardless of your nationality, Celtic never leaves you.”

Fine words.

He's the man! Wish he wasn't injured as much though. His last gasp header against Rangers last season was a thing of beauty though.

Towards the end of the article he claims Hull, who were about to face their impending doom against Everton, had enough class to stay up. They just got trounced 5-1 and I think they will make the drop instead of Wolves and co.

Always was a fan of big Jan. Scored some very key goals for us and always turned up in big games.

Shame he was injured so much last season, really could have made the difference.

All the best to JVoH

I can understand that.

Always very complimentary about Celtic but his last season was just an extended version of his first two.

Never fit, hardly mobile, occasional threat. Thanks for the TB season but with hindsight, we should have cashed in then.

Never forget him belting out the songs at Tannadice last time we won the league. A wholehearted player that had Celtic in his blood. His last minute goal against the Huns will always be one of my best memories as a Celtic fan, up there with Centenary season, beating Man Utd, Juve etc.

Always give everything and loved the club. I forgive a lot of inadequacies when that's the case. I'll never, ever forget his last minute Hunskelping and winning the league at Tannadice, and it's a shame we were never able to properly say goodbye to him.

Can talk the talk....but alas that's all he could do....wouldn't even have him on the bench today.

For a guy of his height he was crap in the air... enjoyed the Glasgow nightlife too much.

Always liked him, especially for out stripping the over rated Ferdinand before planting it in the onion bag at Old Stratford.
Shame his injuries hampered his time with us.

Decent goal return considering he missed alot of the last season through injury.

44 goals in 110 games or something I thought I read.

Jan always put his heart and soul into it for the team, and probably season 1
will be his fondest remembered.

In saying that he was dreadful in his last season, and bogged down with persistent injuries. He has as much lift off as a one winged hover fly.
