A midfield waiting to get run over. Oh for a bit of dig in there, still don't know what we've missed until its gone. Boruc needs a break as well.

I agree mate but there are two three problems with that team.

A) I don't think TM will be playing Crosas much once everyone is fit.
B) Neither Keane or Fortune are out and out strikers. Both will come deep and move all over the place.
C) Loovens is a tube.

Having said that I think that's our best team. Possible play Brown right instead of Maloney.

One thing I do know for sure is...its time TM decided on his team and played it consistently...whatever that team may be.

Play the same team. Identify weaknesses week in week out, deal with them on the training pitch and get better each week.

So far we've had nothing but chopping and changing and messing around.

Jesus H, surely nobody is suggesting that, given a clean bill of health and all available, that Darren O'Dea is our best left back. FFS

Sounds unbelievable because I have been his biggest fan, but I don't think the midfield can accommodate Crosas at the moment. There I said it. I think a midfield of Brown, Ki and N'Guemo provides more balance to both sides of the games; creativity and being able to put tackles in and protect our back four more consistently. Crosas should be used as an option though if this doesn't work.

Ahead of that an on form (note the phrase) McGeady to play wide left, Fortune to play wide right and Keane to play through the middle. Rasmussen needs to get game time somewhere, for example Tuesday night would have been a good start. It is unbelievable that we have Kamara, Maloney and Samaras to add to that mix. The latter two have been culpable this season of failing us with wasted chances in key games. They would be behind Kamara for me for that very reason. McGinn and McCourt are waaaay down the list. Just take some feckin chances for God's sake!

The system is obviously going to have to shift between 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 at times, but I think it is important that he sticks to a system and has a core group who get the chance to play together as a unit, and crucially, know their roles. A core of players that can expect a jersey without chopping and changing, providing they are delivering the goods.

At the back, just a settled back four please. Braafheid and Hinkel to play consistently as our full backs without fear that they are about to be dragged off to accommodate our management team's FIFA Pro Licence coaching indulgences, and Hooiveld and Loovens as the middle two.

I felt sorry for Loovens on Tuesday night. He got dogs abuse, and I wasn't altogether clear what for. It felt like he was the key holdover from a bygone era, and was the one who people felt like they needed to vent their spleen at, because the rest of Fraggle Rock had been sold off. I think playing beside Hooiveld in a more natural right sided position will restore his confidence and his attributes. Failing that, Thompson hasn't done anything wrong.

No more hysterical substitutions involving our full backs please. Retain the balance of the team, unless we have a clear man advantage etc.

One thing I will give Mowbray is the number of injuries. Not since the Venglos season can I remember so many injuries, and never before so many in-game injuries that completely wreck the flow of the team.
