1960 European Cup Final then 1970 World Cup Final for me.

It's the other way around for me - but only just.

After them it's the 1970 WC semi-final between Italy & West Germany.

All 3 matches were football at its very best. :worthy:

There was also the 1966 World Cup match between Portugal (Eusebio etc) and North Korea which the Portuguese won 5-3 after being 3-0 down.

Football just isn't the same these days. :(

That's it.

Every player in the Brazil 1970 team was as good as it could get, with the exception of the goalkeeper but he was hardly needed.

The ultimate football team. :worthy:

From a Celtic perspective the 4-3 game against Juventus was a classic, epic game :worthy:

i once saw an inhouse promotional video made by Sky TV featuring the Liverpool/Milan 3-3 euro cup final, fans thoughts over 'strings of jasmin' it was a fantastic piece and sums up that match, thousands of fans signing you'll never walk alone at half time... gave me goose bumps

a great game but i think the other two were better.

the skill levels were higher in italy-brazil, there was more drama in france-west germany.

an unreal pair of matches and they took place only four or five days apart.

i wish i was a kid again . . .

the back four were very good footballers, but not exactly what you would call excellent defenders.

they let in cheap goals in every match in 1970 except the england game.

beautiful to watch though.
