That is Maloney out for another eight weeks. This guy spends more time on the physio's
couch that he makes JVOH seem like a beginner. A player is absolutely of no use to us
if he is injury prone and always sidelined. I remember Maloney's first spell with us was also blighted by
injury too, and I must say I couldn't understand the clamour to bring him back because of it.

I would bet somewhere in the KDS ether, are a few Silkyhoops posts lauding Maloney as a vital member of our squad.

Leave moderating to the mods

And your preference for starting negative thread on players had been noted, and i'd advise if you wanted to discuss a players performance, you don't make such a trolling attempt in the first post

Cant blame a player for being injured. I would hope that we used his injury in a positive manner by putting McGinn/McCourt on the wing instead of Barry Robson. Doing that would give Maloney real competition whenever he returns.

This will be another guy, like Brown, who has played through the pain barrier because the manager asked him to and has made their injury and their pain a lot worse.

Bet he'd be dead chuffed to hear of your appreciation.

The thread may be negative but if it's about Maloney it kinda has to be. Through no fault of his own this guy has spent months and months of his Celtic career on the treatment table. This is absolutely no use to us. A fit Maloney could certainly play a part in our team but it looks like injuries are going to ruin his career.

Not ot start an argument but would this be Maloney's fault or the physio's fault?

I don't see how it need be anyone's fault unless he played through injury either on instructions or by his own judgement. He may just be an unlucky player.

i actually think that raises a good point though.

how long was he out for before this got announced today?

Take away the first part of mcbhoyo's question. Is this the physio's fault? (presuming that maloney didn't put any pressure on his leg when he wasn't supposed to).

maloney is definately unlucky with injuries. Did he come off early one game with an injury? Therefore aggravating his last. If so, then we can't have too many complaints.

Its quite feasible he's played carrying an injury, and its also feasible that he's just unlucky. Or maybe he's just staying out the way so he's blameless for the dross. Whatever it is,I don't care. He's being played as a winger when it simply isn't his most effective role.

That is exactly the point I was making in the OP. It can't be negative if it is factual, and the fact of the matter is Maloney's second reincarnation is turning out to be just as ineffective as his first.
