Whatever nothing. You are using it as a stick to beat him and to try and blame him for Black Sunday is hilarious. He was in a position where a 1-0 defeat got him into Europe whereas a heavier defeat may not have, so he sat on that result.
a heavier defeat? was it not something like 6-0 they had to lose to not qualify for europe? :nono:

turns out it was a 3 goal swing before they wouldn't qualify, my bad

Some individual players were mAking it difficult.

Now TM doesn't state that some players at Celtic Park are making things difficult but you could read into that statement that they are. If this is the case there is only one solution. Drop them. From as high a height as you can find.

If I was a Celtic player and was told I had to wear a black bin liner and no boots to get a game, I'd do it.

I'm not demanding that he resign; but I am heart-sick of the clueless performances in Europe and against the SPL mince. My primary concern is that he was not a winner as a player, and thus far hasn't been one as a manager: remember that he contrived to lose the LC Final to Livi, ffs.... and I still haven't completely forgiven him for his team's lack of effort against the Huns on Black Sunday.

He needs to be more pragmatic in his approach.
I heard that he told Bellamy and Hartson to miss those sitters so that he could help the huns win the league. :nono:

Was he dressed as Bobby Williamson in the Hibs dugout v Livi in the CIS final??????????? If I haven't been wooshed, try getting your facts right.
Whatever... he still doesn't have a track record as a winner.
He's managed Hibs, Ipswich and West Brom, what do you expect?!
Strachan won nothing before managing us, MON went thru several years and numerous managerial posts before he won a couple of League Cups with Leicester; Mowbray's a novice in comparison.
And give it a rest over the black Sunday thing, we lost that title ourselves.

Bobby Williamson was manager of Hibs when they lost to Livi, but don't let that get in the way of a hissy.

I stand corrected Murph, he was but a coach at Ipswich!
I stick by the rest of it though!

Wasn't he caretaker manager after Burley got sacked? I'm sure he managed them for a few games before Joe Royle was appointed :ponder:

Don't know if it's anywhere else, the Record claiming Mowbray,Venus and Park were in France last night to watch striker Olivier Giroud of Tours.

In January he will sign for Celtic FC and go on to rip the huns a new one, and in doing so bringing the league championship trophy back to where it belongs before the huns try and pawn it to raise cash.

What do I expect of TM??

Probably not much this season, it is a season for the players to prove themselves to the manager (esp after the collapse last season) not for the manager to prove himself to us. We should win the league but if we don't, the blame should lie at the players feet not the manager's. So far the team have done well (performance wise) but individual errors and a lack of creativity have cost us at important moments, last weeks 2 conceded goals being the most recent examples.

It is then up to Mhogga to decide which players should stay and which ones plainly are not good enough (probably most of them) and get them moved on ASAP to any club for whatever is being offered. Over the next 2/3 transfer windows we will have a much better idea of where he is taking us and then we can assess him properly but, we should stick it out until the end of this season, regardless. And then next season he should be retained as long as where still in with a decent chance of winning the league. Obviously if the Huns' financial plight results in them having a seriously weakened side and we make exciting signings in the summer we should be looking to romp the league but we need to be very patient and give him time to, first of all, assess and then (hopefully) dismantle the current squad and then to rebuild it as he sees fit. Only then can we make an accurate assessment of whether he 'has it' or not. Though so far I've been pretty impressed with him but the players have been letting him down.

Reports in Belgian say that Celtic are after Racing Union St-Gilloise twin brothers, Sumdy and Embdy Nieuw. They've been looking for Sumdy for a while but are unwilling to be bullied into paying over-the-top and have accepted they might have to settle for Embdy.

Frank Connor was in charge of Celtic for a couple of games after Brady was sacked - Im not sure Id say that qualifies as having managed us.

I think I've been a bit harsh on TM to be fair. Immediately after Dundee United I was seething and wanted rid, but I think we should allow him this little period.

He has made mistakes, undoubtedly, but he might get it right in the long run. Just disappointed he isn't getting the best out of these players, and I'm also disappointed about what I perceive to be a poor attitude from some first team players also.

Trouble with Mowbray, as much as I'm willing to give him time (for now anyway) is that he just doesn't seem to have the presence you expect from a manager. Maybe appearances are deceptive, but he just doesn't seem to be enough of a bastard to be a football manager at times.

fess up and say I thought he had lost to Livi

Whilst I have stated ad nauseam that I've been unimpressed so far, I have no problem with his comments yesterday and Black Sunday was the fault of Celtic and non one else.
