It's almost that time of year again and soon we'll hear the managers moaning that they're losing their better players etc.

Draw was today:

Group A: Angola, Mali, Algeria, Malawi.

Group B: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Burkina Faso.

Group C: Egypt, Nigeria, Benin, Mozambique.

Group D: Cameroon, Tunisia, Zambia, Gabon.

Egypt v. Nigeria the first match on January 12th.

Not a big fan of it, too many poor teams, but there are always some good games, especially in the latter stages. Ivory Coast v. Ghana also looks to be a good one in Group B! I'll support the Ivory Coast so long as they wear their new away kit :rocker: http://www.subsidesports.com/uk/images/product/xlarge/IvCoastASS0910_sos.jpg
Who's going to watch?!

EDIT: Mods please move if in wrong forum!

I'd imagine so. He was called up for their last game against Togo so I'm assuming he will.

I love watching this :)

I think the Nigerians might have a chance, they seem to be on the up again.

It's played every 2 years. Time difference isn't really an issue....it's longitude :arrr:

Group B looks a good one.

I got my wee bro that Ivory Coast away kit with 'Drogba 11' on the back for his 21st, it's a peach.

Ivory Coast are actually a very good side but in a WC year, and especially one taking place in Africa, you have to wonder if a few of the sides with pretensions to going reasonably far in that (Nigeria, Cameroon, IC) don't already have one eye on it, which could produce a few surprise results.

I'll be keeping an eye on Egypt's fortunes seen as I have an uncle from there, although it'll take some going to get over the disappointment of losing their WC playoff to the Boogeyman and co, following all the drama of forcing a decider in the first place. Sore one.
