I've heard that Steadman has told him his career is over and that it should be announced within the next few weeks :(
Totally gutting, was at Rugby Park the day Naka clinched the title, met him out celebrating that night and kept on telling him how incredible he was that day and that he was the MOTM. Being the modest guy he is he just kept saying cheers. Hopefully has a successful future ahead of him whatever he does.
Posted this last night. John only found out in the past 48 hours so I'm a bit surprised the news has broken so quickly.

Very sad but very understandable! Wish him every success in what he does in the future. He's a real inspiration in the way he has conducted himself and the effort he put in trying to come back from a truly shocking injury!

Sad news. Looked like a good solid player with great potential the few times I saw him. Seemed like an intelligent guy also. Most galling is that he sustained this injury in a nothing game for his national team. Not forgetting that thug Ganea who carried inflicted the damage. Its just a pity he didn't approach the game with the level of committment normally shown by our rivals across the city to the national team. Good luck John.

Injured by a coward but handled it like a man. I hope the club make sure he never has to worry about money.

Gutted to hear that news today.

I've never heard anyone have a bad word to say about the guy.

Wish him all the very best for whatever he does in the future.

With his attitude I have a feeling he'll do well whatever he turns his hand to.

Dreadful news.

I think the biggest compliment that I could pay the guy is that I firmly believe that if he hadn't gotten injured, we wouldn't have lost the league to the Huns on Black Sunday. He'd have established himself as a regular first-team starter and the defence wouldn't have shipped so many goals.

A tragedy for Celtic and a tragedy for John.
