The guy has been unlucky but he will have made a decent enough wedge and I would imagine a claim against SFA for lost easrnings.

End of the day, relatively speaking, it's the equivalent of having a job you've trained for and dedicated all your life to, and having to give up through ill health. Sure, be bitter about the fact you can't buy a �40k car, but the whole point here is that he could have made far more money in his career had he not been cruelly injured. A claim against the SFA won't really get him all that much. Don't bother going to any sort of testimonial if you feel like that. I'm sure the majority of decent minded Celtic fans will be desperate to support John.

Member Member #1,732 Joined: 30 July 2005	i really wish him all the best in his future. i am sure he was a captain in the making at celtic before the injury. so whats next for John. does anybody know if he will stay at celtic in some capacity. if i was him i would do my coaching badges and work my way up . i believe he is good friends with willie mcstay. so maybe he could take him under his wing and work with him through his coaching apprenticeship. anyway best wishes to him.
