Received this as a birthday present and only just watched it for the first time. Thought it was fantastic and some of the interviews......... Henrik on the hun possibly getting 10........Celtic were the first team to win 9 so the 2nd team that done it does not matter....legend. Anyhoo was watching through the McCann takeover and stuff, and how bad things were before it all happened, a period in the club that I remember alright but it was a memory refresher nonetheless. Now, we aren't going through a great time at the minute, both on the park and off the park(unless we refer to balance sheets). I may be mistaken but I'm sure I've read a few posts on here which suggested that on the park at least, we are as bad now as we were then.....2 words....reality check. I aint sure if these posts were from the younger generation who don't remember this time but that time was awful awful awful, both on and off the park. Another interesting interview was with the fella who used to edit the Celtic View, who described Fergus as the father of the modern day Celtic. He says without him there would be no fantastic stadium, no season tickets which in turn would have produced no O'Neill, no Seville etc etc etc. I thought that description of Fergus was spot on and the wat he persisted with the old board to save us, instead of telling them to ram it, should be commended. As an afterthough Jock Brown is an even bigger tool after watching him on it!! |

Fegus McCann is the father of modern day Celtic. Without him we'd be nothing. |

If anyone's not seen it, buy it, if you've seen it, buy it! Don't know why it took me so long but definitely worth the buy and to keep.

Well worth a look. I bought it for myself (the good lady's not so keen on buying me Celtic or Dublin stuff) after having watched a mate's copy in one sitting with a slab of beer. A very well spent afternoon/evening I hasten to add.

You might want to reconsider and blame the board prior to Fergus' arrival for the huns winning NIAR. |

Great documentary, but still leaves you coming away wanting more; some of the periods feel a bit rushed in order to get to the more recent stuff (i.e. 1966 and onwards) but this stands to reason given the format. Still, it's really rather good. I should really look into getting my copy back from Dante67uk ...
