I really like the look of Carrol, he's a real prospect.
Was there not some question marks over Carrol's disciplinary record or something. I am sure I heard something about that before.

No idea mate. He's had 3 yellow cards in 11 games this season which for that type of player isn't anything remarkable. Unless you mean off the park.

Yeah I mean off the park.

I have just checked his wiki :blueoyster2:

He got into trouble with Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear when he got into a training ground fight with French teammate Charles N'Zogbia over a late tackle on Carrol's counterpart. Kinnear decided not to punish the two saying "It was just handbags, and it's been blown out of all proportion," and "I can't stop players being passionate, and wouldn't want to. I won't be taking any action"

On 11 September 2007, Carroll made his England under 19 debut against Belarus, scoring in the 4–0 victory.[5] Carroll, along with Scott Sinclair & Ryan Bertrand, was sent home after breaking curfew on 14 October during preparation for a match against Romania.[6]

He's also constantly mentioned by his teammates as the worst trainer at the club in the matchday programme

He's still young, maybe needs the right manager to keep him on track.

1-0 Newcastle

I cant believe that goal has been given to Ryan Taylor? The original shot was going miles wide and the deflection took it in.

Surely an own goal?

Put 6 scorecasts on for interest lol

K. Nolan 1-0 = £92
S. Taylor 1-0 = £272
M. Killgallon 1-1 = £131
A. Carrol 1-1 = £66
F. Collocini 1-0 = £141
D. Henderson 1-0 = £68

Anyone able to tell me what happens with my bets seen as how the first goal was an OG?

Are they down? Or void? :ponder:

My S. Taylor 1-0 one will still be on as he aint playing but im not sure what happens with the rest?

Cheers

Toon are a cert to go up.

With players like Carrol, Taylor x 2, Harper, Enrique, Barton, Smith ect they have a far superior squad than anyone else.

Good win here for Toon, back on top, hopefully they'll stay there now. Not sure about Carroll, I think the Championship is his level, and wouldn't expect him to make it in the Premier League if/when Newcastle get promoted. Still, would be a decent signing for Celtic, if you can be a handful in the Championship you can be a star in the the SPL. And I agree tonyjaa, I like the look of Ranger.
