Wasnt quite old enough to appreciate the impact of Judas Johnston going to the huns back in 1989 so I thought I'd ask some of he older posters on here if they can remember where they were when they heard he'd jumped ship and went to Ipox.

I'm sure on the ''Footballers Lives'' programme a few years back he still claims to be a Celtic supporter even after doing what he did :boik:

Not old enough to have understood the impact of this signing. Always intirgued me though, think no matter how many times I read the story I don't think I can get my head round him doing what he did!

I Remember getting the paper on my way to work on that infamous Monday morning and rubbing my eyes in disbelief to be honest,i fully expected to get into work and hear it being dismissed on Radio, but to my utter astonishnent they were confirming it and sayin there would be a press conference around lunchtime

The one thing that sticks out in my mind is the reaction of the huns at work,to say they were raging is an understatement,to this day i still can't believe the wee fud sold his soul to the devil and played for Satans eleven.

If my memory serves me correct, was he not snapped posing with a Celtic scarf on at CP with Billy McNeil only a few days previously? A 100% total tosser.

It was a move that caused us decades to recover from and the biggest betrayal anyone has ever done to our club.

To do what he did for money tells everyone what kind of a man (if you could call him that) that he is. Scumbag of the highest order. I remember it as another kick in the teeth at a time when the board was making one shambolic decision after another.

They should never have let him pose with a scarf at Celtic Park without tieing up the deal.

As for Johnstone, if I ever saw him in a public place I would gladly let him know my feelings on the person he is.

No it was the scarf above the head. He had a lovely afgan sweater on that day, about as false as his fake tanned bimbo hag of a wife.

I'll be in a minority here but as time passes the anger and bitterness fades a bit for me. If I met him now i would just politely ignore him.

Life's too short for all this hatred.

An absolute tool, and like someone said earlier his betrayal heralded a dark era for the club.
