Linky Chelsea have confirmed that they have rejected a second offer from Manchester City for captain John Terry. Money-rich City made an unsuccessful bid for the England skipper last season and they have again failed in their attempts to bring the centre-back to Eastlands. The size of the offer has not been revealed, but Chelsea insist that Terry is not for sale and that the 28-year-old is totally committed to the cause at Stamford Bridge. A statement on the club's official website said: "We can confirm we have completely rejected an offer from Manchester City for John Terry. "It was made clear to City, for a second time following an approach last season, that we would not entertain any conversation on the subject. "At the time John also reiterated his total commitment to Chelsea. "We would like to make it clear, and will not do so again, that John is not for sale." Thoughts? Would be a good player for Citeh, big loss for Chelsea, no big shock they rejected it. Could anyone see Terry go there regardless of the cash? |

£30m is a lot of money for a 28 year old center half. Just shows the financial power Chelski still have to be able to turn down this bid ! Always thought Carvalho the better of the two and i see he is available for £8mish Man City could do a lot worse than him. Why the Arabs didn't just go out and buy Manu baffles me No matter how much moeny you throw at city Manu will always be the No1 in Engerlund bit like us in Scottyland

I can't wait until it becomes so stupid that in about 5 years we get offered £250m from Norwich for Lee Naylor. This is becoming a joke.

no they're not! They just have mega rich owners. They have poorer stadiums than Celtic and a smaller support. Chelsea are a huge club in revenue terms (EPL and CL) Man City hav nothing to boast about, they just throw money at players and have been behind celtic in turnover for the last 10 years (2009 celtic disappeared off the radar). Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal are well in front of Man City on that score |

If anyone ever thinks Man City are a massive club, I suggest you google what trophies they won to get the 3 stars above their crest. |

If any smug Celtic fans think Man City are not a massive club I suggest they google their gates in the dark days and then do a quick comparison to Celtic's gates in the early 90's. Man City are a massive club. IfYouKnowYourHistoryCSC. |

According to the BBC Football site City want a £10m ''development fee'' for Daniel Sturridge cause he is under 23 and Chelsea have offered £3m...perhaps the Owen deal isn't as bad as folk think it will be for Utd... |
