I had a fantastic time on the stadium tour, it was a few years ago now but very impressive and there is the odd celtic memento there too. I went with a massive Madrid fan and afterward he ran down on to the pitch with his fly away and started running around like a 4 year old. Brilliant. I think we scobbed a euro of a passerby to afford a disposable camera. Must have walked around the whole stadium 3 times before i found the way in.

Good times. Definitely do it if you have the chance. Their EC trophy section is pretty damn cool.

I've been, you have to do it, they are the most successful club ever, the stadium is pretty cool in my opinion and the museum is pretty amazing, if you're in Madrid, and you have time you should do it, although, admittedly it's not the first thing to do when you're there...

Look out for the trophy they have on display relating to a 3-1 victory against Celtic at parkhead around about the early 60s. Can't remember exactly what it was for. My old man was amazed it was there when we popped in on our way to Seville as he was at the game.

I always thought we had similar fans (of the few I know, most of whom are actually from Andalusia), but I stand to be corrected. They are technically the most successful European club no? I remember that Celtic trophy and some West Ham stuff as well. Its a pity you cant see a match that would be something else.

Great stadium but a bugger to find the entrance. No guide either you have to make your own way around it. Nou camp tour is better.

Its alright, you can really sense the difference between Real and Barcelona by doing the club tours.

The Nou Camp is getting a wee bit ramshackle and smells while the Bernabau is something in between a futuristic metallic prison
and a Spaceship that has a patch of grass in the middle.

Its funny once your in it feels a little like Waverly shopping center initially, but like Gonga says it does feel kind of space age after a bit. The bit with the European Cups :potm: is like the part of the enterprise they get beamed up to!

I find it helps to check the website. ;)

Tickets:
Window 10 next to Gate 7 (Paseo de la Castellana side)
Tour access located at Gate 20 (Avda. Concha Espina)

I did the tour last year. Hadn't realised the stadium was quite so steep. The trophy room is  it also houses some of the ugliest trophies i've ever seen. You'll know them when you see them. I felt you missed something without having a guide like the Nou Camp tour but it did mean you could take your time without having to move along with an organised tour. Sure there is also some stuff from the the di Stefano testimonial that had everyone raving about Jinky.

I've been round Nou Camp 3 times and never yet had a tour guide.

Maybe it's optional then. Was about 3/4 years ago i went but we did have a guide. Don't remember having to pay more for one though.

I was having a pop at the huns mate and the way they claim to be the most decorated club in the world, not at you or anything you said.

Madrids haul of European Cups and the prestigious 'FIFA TEAM OF THE CENTURY' award clearly makes them front-runners for any team claiming to be the biggest or most successful.

My opinion wasnt based on any Madrid fan...more just my understanding of the club and how they've benefited throughout the years...but lets not be sidetracked onto that.

I enjoyed the Camp Nou tour - informative and you could head around at your own pace - I went on a Saturday morning though and it was too busy to be really enjoyable, good seeing the big cup there (this was after the henrik final)

Theres a chance I'll be making Madrid at some point in the autumn and for completion sake, I'd like to make a game and the tour...but if I make a game, it'll be the hoops whilst waving a white hankie

So far i've done the tours at CP, Hampden, Old T, Bernabaeu, Nou Camp, Estadio Du Luz & Jose Alvaladze and i'd say the Bernabaeu is only bettered by Old T and that was due to the excellent tour guide at Old T. My two sons are building up a fine collection of photos at the tunnels of these stadiums with the hoops on.

The one in Madrid is good. The most impressive part for me is when you look out on to the pitch - that would be a very intimidating place for an away team to play.

Walked round the Stadium twice before we could find the tour entrance, it is not like CP or Barca at the front door it is via a plain old match entrance gate. Gate 5 at that ;)
