a manure fan has texted me saying that michael owen will be revealed as a man utd player next week
I hope this is true as I've been saying it will happen for...ooooh...about 2 years now.

Michael Owen is perfect for Man Utd. Man Utd is perfect for Michael Owen.

No fee. An England Internationalist. A senior player. A striker.

It gives him a chance to be part of a squad, as opposed to a relied on in every game player. He can win trophies.

He can use Man Utd's great facilities and staff to get fit and finally stay fit, as well as keep his name in the frame for England.

This move, if it happens, will end the naysaying about Owen and deliver to him the trophies he will feel his career deserves.

If it doesn't happen then meh. ;) But I have been saying (and it's been fitfully in the press) this is the right move for 2 years. They do want him as they've tried to get him at least twice since he left Liverpool.

Perhasp :potm: you could :worthy: make a post :nono: where the number of smileys :rocker: dont' exceed :Bye: the number of sentences :boik:

You were the one laughing at the "brochure" chearly calling him a carrot.

"Great servant to the club" he gives his all on the pitch for Celtic, he';s a good ambassador for the club, and any of the fans who met him say he's a gentleman and always has time for the fans. that what I mean by "Great servant".

the rest of your reply is pish, and please don't put words in my mouth regarding the "lack of leadership". Unless you're in the squad you don't know anything about it.
It seems that your lack of punctuation and grammar is matched with your lack of numeracy skills. Count the sentences and smileys. Go on, concentrate.

Not once did I call him a carrot. I repeat, you made that up and then have stuck to it in the subsequent post. It seems you like to fabricate what you think was in a post and then comment upon that.

Great servant. Has time for the fans. More pish. The talking should be done on the pitch and McManus doesnt do it.

And your not in the squad either so youre in no position to comment if thats the case.

Looks like after two years your wish may come true HTK.

Owen is reputedly in talks with Man Utd today.

He also plays well with Rooney when they linked up with England. Good move by United if it happens but I wouldn't be paying him £100k a week.

Won't go down too well with the Liverpool fans.

One of my best mates used to be on Man Utd's books and still has a few contacts down there - came from one of them.

It may be something and nothing but I now hear Talksport guy talking about it just now as well :ponder:

I actually think if he can get and maintain his fitness it could spark Owen into life and be a Sheringham/Cantona type Ferguson masterstroke.

We can only wait and see.
