Ah, you see how Imperial colonialism can pay off? :rocker:
Indeed. If things had been different Scotland might have been able to call on a plethora of Panamanians for our national team ...
Or would that have been a few Darians..?

I am annoyed at the members slagging Barry Robson. While I don't expect him to be a first eleven pick next season, he will still have an important part to play. He was held back by injuries last season even before he was operated on.
I also think he's a decent player to have around the squad. He's a very determined character. Kicked out of the club by the huns while a kid. Ending up at Forfar Athletic and clawing his way up the ladder.

Well, I'd play Robson before I'd play Flood but i really want neither of them anywhere near the first team.

Too much money to be spending on someone who should be fifth or sixth choice in central midfield.

Decent player and certainly not the first I'd chase out of that squad, but he's not good enough to hold down a place and never going to be.

Give me youthful fearlessness combined with talent over experienced mediocrity any day.

Cameroon? There's an African Nations cup this season, no?
Aye, meaning that the Huns will lose Bougherra for a month next season :)
Hmmm...wonder what it'll be this time - the mystery injury that clears up the second he is replaced in the squad or a convenient disagreement with the manager :ponder:

Actually, I don't know why I'm even specualting....he's a stick-on to be flogged to a championship team this summer

Was printed in the newspaper probably haven't updated the web site yet.
Added to the website at 11.35 today. Is your info since then?
My info was just a copy and paste from another Celtic fan that sent me it, don't know the exact times etc.

I think he will sign for us soon. Going by what Mowbray said today, he seems pretty upbeat that he will make up his mind soon and I think if he was going to sign for Hull, he would have signed for them by now. He will be Mowbray's first signing me thinks.
Mowbray was also very non-commital about the Captaincy when it was raised.

He is quite rightly having a think about it - not definitely McManus it would seem.

I think with no contract offer to Jvoh or Hartley he is beginning to lay his markers that it will be HIS team.
I think so. I think Tony is his own man for sure, and I have a feeling that there will be no favorites in his team, and I also have a feeling that the captaincy may well be up for grabs this season.

I have a hunch that we are going to get Fortune for it has been going on so long, that I think Fortune
is being swayed by TM's persuasiveness. I think Fortune would flourish in a 3 man attack
and be equally capable as a lone striker in a more defensive makeup.

I would go with 4-3-3 for most games in the SPL and at home
in the CL, and possibly 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 away in the CL

This would be my ideal team if we have a good warchest
and can fill all the places I reckon need filled.

For example 4-3-3

Boruc

Hinkel St Ledger Loovens Castillo

Brown Crosas NGuemo

McGeady Fortune McDonald

For Example 4-2-3-1

Boruc

Hinkel St Ledger Loovens Castillo

Crosas NGuemo

McGeady Brown Maloney

Fortune

That would be your ideal team?

No offence mate but have you seen Castillo or St Ledger play? Not wanting to look like I'm having a go here but these guys are an unknown quantity

I've not even heard of him let alone see him play.

Castillo for example gets linked in the press and then a few people say he'd be ideal and a good signing etc. Would be surprised if people knew a lot about him.

Sean St Ledger is an outstanding CB who I have heard enough informed reports about to put him in front of the two Chuckle Brothers who chucked the league away last year, as they were ragdolled by all and sundry in the SPL and CL. St Ledger would be the intelligent natural leader we need at the back imo
alongside the composed Loovens. I would have no qualms about making that my CB pairing for this season. Castillo is another I have heard very good reports about, and I definitely would play him ahead of Naylor. Mowbray will I am sure be at pains to assemble his trademarked team on the pitch so that he will be judged by his actions alone. A new broom sweeps clean. You don't need to see a player you know to know he is good. You can get other trusted lieutenants to do that for you. It's called Delegation ya know.

The daily record first edition has Mowbray saying that Fortune will have to accept less money than is on offer elsewhere if he wants to join us. He also says that he has spoken to Artur already about motivation etc.

I think we'd stand a good chance of qualifying for The Europa League if either of those teams ever took the field for Celtic. At least fourth in the SPL...

Personally I was completely gutted after watching this interview. Never been so angry in my puff

Spent 2 years perfecting my Cryptic-manager-bull-shampoo-decoding-gizmo so i could gleam some kind of information from Strachan's post match interviews! Now I don't need it!!!

Another invention for the bin then... :nono:

We would win the league and get into the CL proper and probably go much further
if either of those two teams took to the field imo. It's all about opinions after all. And you have to have the courage of your convictions in this game.

Don't worry, you'll get used to it on here, guys like Robson and Hartley don't get praise, because the're not foreign and don't have good stats on FM2009
