Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
With Marc Crosas in the team we make more chances, and usually score more goals.
Aye he stood out away at ibrox. Would have Bern nice if he contributed any more than standing there mind you!
Yep, because Hartley was utterly immense in that game, and showed why he was preferred to Crosas in other away games. At least Crosas tried to create something.

I don't think Hartley is as bad as some people make out. I also don't think Crosas is as good as everyone makes out. (am I allowed to say that? :ph43r: )

I think Hartley is Ok we bought him too late in my opinion.

Crosas on the otherhand pings the ball about well but once it get's to it's destination nobody did jack with it last season.

I think he will sign for us soon. Going by what Mowbray said today, he seems pretty upbeat that he will make up his mind soon and I think if he was going to sign for Hull, he would have signed for them by now. He will be Mowbray's first signing me thinks.
Mowbray was also very non-commital about the Captaincy when it was raised.

He is quite rightly having a think about it - not definitely McManus it would seem.

I think with no contract offer to Jvoh or Hartley he is beginning to lay his markers that it will be HIS team.

According to a report released by French sportspaper L’Equipe, Celtic have reached an agreement with Ligue 1 side Nancy to complete the transfers of Marc-Antoine Fortune and Landry N’Guemo from the Lorraine side.

A combined figure of €7 million, which includes bonuses, is quoted by the Parisian-based publication for the ASNL pair.

The Scottish Premier League side have been in the market for Fortune since manager Tony Mowbray made the move north to his former side West Bromwich Albion, for whom the French forward had enjoyed a successful six-month loan spell towards the end of last season.

N’Guemo, a Cameroon international.. is a combative 23-year-old midfielder, whose best attributes tend to be focused towards the defensive side of the game. Indeed, he only has two career goals in nearly 100 Ligue 1 appearances for his present employers.

Having enjoyed increased playing time at the Stade Marcel-Pichot over the last season, N’Guemo had attracted the interest of lower-end Premier League clubs in the winter but will have the chance to experience Champions League football if he and Fortune can agree terms with the Glasgow side.

Mowbray’s men start their European campaign in the third qualifying round of the European Cup, which they will have to negotiate along with a playoff round, if they are to reach the group stages of the Champions League. Progress in the transfer market has been slow for the Hoops, for whom this double capture would provide something of a boost.
Headline on L'equipe online has a question mark so sounds like conjecture still:

Aye but his stock will soar if he joins us and will be a automatic first pick for his country.

I think so. I think Tony is his own man for sure, and I have a feeling that there will be no favorites in his team, and I also have a feeling that the captaincy may well be up for grabs this season.

I have a hunch that we are going to get Fortune for it has been going on so long, that I think Fortune
is being swayed by TM's persuasiveness. I think Fortune would flourish in a 3 man attack
and be equally capable as a lone striker in a more defensive makeup.

I would go with 4-3-3 for most games in the SPL and at home
in the CL, and possibly 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 away in the CL

This would be my ideal team if we have a good warchest
and can fill all the places I reckon need filled.

For example 4-3-3

Boruc

Hinkel St Ledger Loovens Castillo

Brown Crosas NGuemo

McGeady Fortune McDonald

For Example 4-2-3-1

Boruc

Hinkel St Ledger Loovens Castillo

Crosas NGuemo

McGeady Brown Maloney

Fortune

I am annoyed at the members slagging Barry Robson. While I don't expect him to be a first eleven pick next season, he will still have an important part to play. He was held back by injuries last season even before he was operated on.

Even at Hearts he wasn't that good, just played in a system that was built around him.

I'll say it again, but he's one of the least gifted central midfielders I've ever saw in a Celtic side, and as much as he gave his lot, I'm glad he's gone.

There's something seriously wrong if you're a central midfielder and can't pass or trap a ball, at least young Marc can do that at 21, Hartley is 32 ffs!
