Cu twitter saying he's off to PSV on a 3 year contract, and I think Sevilliano's saying he's off as well

If so, my remaining memory will be of that complete sitter of a header he missed yesterday.

If true thanks Big Man. Pity injuries have taken their toll.

Good luck and thanks for some great memories.

Best of luck to him, he clearly understood the club.

Its a pity he just could not sustain an injury free run, once he gets his wooden legs sorted he will be fine.

I like JVoH. He's a decent big guy and he done okay here for the first two seasons. I mind watching him when i followed utrecht (his name stood out) and thought he would be good for us. Ho hum. Seemd to love his time here and the club.

Best of luck big guy

Hopefully a bit of historical perspective will be kinder to him than some of the crap he'll get on here.

A decent player who had terrible luck with injuries after joining us, and scored some big goals for us, particularly last season. This year it did look as though he was struggling badly, and he probably needs a change of scene, which is a shame, he really looked a player when he first arrived - I still remember him running Rio Ferdinand ragged at Old Trafford, and that aggression in his game slowly seemed to dissipate.

Anyone who scores an injury time winner against the huns is always going to be alright in my book

It does mean we need someone to fill the No10 shirt now though… :hmmm:

A decent player who i think was wrongly compared to Chris Sutton when he arrived - a totally different kind of player who would have scored more goals had we had wingers hitting the byeline more often and getting cut backs into the box.

As Mikebhoy says,he had a terrific game against Man Utd away and did suffer injury problems.Looked forlorn at times last season and it probably is time for him to move on.All the best JVOH

That's quite a good little record. scored the winner in the most entertaining game last season, the winner v Aberdeen in the 3-2 game.... Some great footwork by the big guy. I'll be sorry to see him go.

All the best.

Started brilliantly and i thought he was going to be the next in a long line of great strikers. His injury problems are well documented and he really struggled this season. Hopefully he can have a few good seasons at PSV but it was definitely time for him to go.

Good luck.

At times, he looked terrific and he scored against big teams.

This season, he's looked he's wearing diving boots and a pointy hat for extra header-inaccuracy.

The second-most lively Dutch striker on display yesterday.

So if a new striker wasn't a top priority before it certainly is now.a front pairing of Samaras and McDonald is fairly :twitch: :twitch:

Wonder if we really rejected a £6m bid from Hamburg last year, or if it was just paper talk.

I was genuinely excited when he signed for us and thought he would turn out to be a proper hun-skelping centre forward. Like BBJ tho he has suffered by staying probably a year longer than he should have ( just like our now ex-manager) which has soured his short term reputation at least.

If he has indeed been offered a three year contract, then good luck to him as he was never in a month on Sundays gonna get anything like that here. Time for a change for all concerned and best wishes in his new career

If he has gone he should have our best wishes. Clearly had a feel for the club and had a tough time with injuries. On his day a good striker.

Good luck big man, I don't think we ever saw the best of you. Are we getting any wedge for him as a bonus?
