I think Aberdeen have a chance.

English teams usually start their preseason a bit later than we do and they will probably assume they're going to coast it.
That's all well and good, but for the fact Aberdeen are notorious bottling bastards.
Two European trophies would suggest otherwise.

Their form 35 years ago will definitely be a factor in this tie

So if we beat Racing it wouldn’t count as a trophy?

Yes.

Although a new thing this year is that the losers from the UCL Champions path now go into their own EL qualifying path. Previously they were all just mixed in together.

e.g. if Celtic lost to Alashkert, then they would play the loser of Rosenborg v Valur in the EL second round.

Cork seem to have been quite lucky, since if they lose to Legia in the CL first qualifying round, they will get a bye through to the EL third qualifying round (there was an odd number of teams).

It's the loser of the Astana vs Sutjeska game that we go onto play according to the ever reliable Moravcik67.

Hoping Aberdeen can scud Burnley. Unlikely I know, but what a lift that would be for our Leagues reputation if they could.

Aberdeen-Burnley, y'say? Tasty... :boxer:
My first though too. Proppa nawty! :boxer:
A chance of those 80s casuals to use their Zimmer frames.
The only way they can stand free, eh?

All games are now relatively tough and unless they are prepared they'll be papped out

No point in worrying about our other representatives, when we have banana skins of our own to slip up on.

I reckon Burnley should easily see off Aberdeen but if there is a little bit of laxness you never know. It'd be like us losing to Motherwell or Ross County in that it does happen but it's a rarity.

Hibs and ra Berrz should get through the first round without any trouble but I think Hibs may struggle after that. Can't comment on the zombies though, the Ge55ard effect might mean them getting all the way to the final qualifying stage or it might mean them pulling a Progres. Either way it'll be some laugh.

Part of me thinks with the Sheep used to being ready to compete at this time of the season for years they may have a slight edge over Burnley.

Hopefully Hibs can win home and away as every point towards the coefficent helps - with Lennon they could make the 3rd round and then who knows what happens

Sevco is anyones guess....and no I want them papped out as early as possible

I only just heard about it but it would seem Rangers have to play FK Shkupi

Apparently they are a new Scottish club formed in 2012
