Who was the last bad goalie we had, as in first choice bad goalie, Rab Douglas?

The most important quality a Celtic goalie needs is concentration....all other skills are secondary. Boruc, Forster and Gordon all have that.

Personally, I would have said Gordon Marshall. Growing up watching the Huns beat us with that diddy in goals was depressing. Particularly when they had the Flying Pig(s) at the opposite side.

He also celebrated like a prize pumpkin when we lost the league at Rugby Park and Fir Park in 03 and 05 respectively.

Boruc>Forster>Gordon.

Boruc was unbelievable before he went off the rails. His save from Paul Telfer v Man U is still the best save I've ever seen from any Celtic keeper.

Yeah, Douglas wasn't bad, he was just average and in that side being average really stood out. Marshall on the other hand was properly bad.

Here was me thinking Larsson had quite a lot to do with that.

Worth noting I’d say Forster had a better defence in front of him than Boruc. I don’t think there was much between them at their peak although I’ll always prefer Boruc because every goalkeeper we had in my life before him was effing shampooe. Gordon is awesome too although not as good as the others imo. We’ve been blessed having the 3 though IMO

He did.

Douglas certainly played his part though.

Larsson did what Larsson does. Douglas played out of his skin and saved shots he wouldn't normally have done.

Boruc at his best made saves that I didn't think he'd get a hand on. For me, Forster at his best made saves that only top goalies are capable of. If Boruc was capable of maintaining that form he'd have gone to one of the best clubs in Europe and improved them.

Douglas was a poor keeper capable of the occasional great game, like many keepers who have broken our hearts over the years. Doesn’t make him anything but a poor keeper though.

In which games did he win the tie for us with saves that you wouldn’t expect another keeper to make?

We had plenty of guys that campaign who were realistically impossible to replace. Rab Douglas wasn’t one of them.

As he’s a double treble winner it sounds shampooe to say it about Gordon, but him being in the top 3 of the last 20/30 years says a lot more about the other goalies we’ve had in that period than it does about him. He’s nowhere near Boruc or Forster at their best.

I doubt it’s hapenning, but I’d love another keeper signed this Summer.

Artur, Forster and Gordon have been great for the club, we've been very fortunate to have this run.

The De Vries era was short, but it did happen.

I never thought David Marshall was worthy of the hype either. He deserved to be dropped when Boruc came.

Boruc, Forster and Gordon.

Worst keepers were Gordon Marshall and De Vries.
