Looks like we've got a self-coronation for King of the Sellic Da's.

I think your lack of understanding is very typical of a Celtic da.

UFC = the organisation
MMA = the sport

Now don’t make me go through your threads and posts and further prove your da status. The favourite player section does enough.
My my you've got your baws in an awful tangle here.

"It's UFC for sellic da's but it's no UFC when sellic da Ste uses it - that's ok"

Every criteria you select to assess for Sellic Da status you then go and trump me in every way possible

You've got Pierre van Hooijdonk as your twitter profile.

Shamelessly stolen from monkhoose on the huddleboard - it's the "Celtic Da holiday guide" edition:

  • Dress in Celtic attire at all times
  • Only visit venues populated by other Celtic da's. Santa Ponsa is recommended.
  • Hang Celtic towels over your balcony
  • Talk to foreign barmen about Celtic
  • Become pals with other Celtic da's
  • Buy the Daily Record every day
  • Shout "Come on the hoops!" from the balcony to folk wearing the hoops on the street
  • Shart
  • Explain to anyone you meet on holiday how Rangers died and Scottish independence is imminent
Any others?
Shart? :suspect:

There's yer da, been allowed on the social media again, retweeting any old made-up shampooe as long as it's accompanied with a semi-serious looking picture and a quote...

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The bold Roy is not for sitting on the fence 😂Corden 😂😂 <a href="https://t.co/kr0AMEulHP">pic.twitter.com/kr0AMEulHP</a></p>— St.Anthony (@Stephen4_2) <a href="https://twitter.com/Stephen4_2/status/1004773728742531073?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 7, 2018</a></blockquote>
<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Seen this retweeted twice yesterday and immediately thought of this thread

You've lost the heed here, 100%. Quite sad to see.

The 'Sellick Da' would definitely call Van Hooijdonk a money grabbing mercenary - not have him as their profile picture. Again - I'm not sure you're quite understanding the whole concept of the joke.

You keep digging though, and I'll leave you to it.

So a sellic da would have Chris Sutton as his favourite player (always thought that was generated btw) but a sellic da having a player from before then is not a sellic da.

Like I say it's enjoyable watching you tie yourself in all sorts of knots. I'll leave you to it.

A true sellic da would probably go on twitter and boast about how he's being king of the sellic da's on KDS with all his twitter pals. Cute.

The Sellic Da patter isn’t a reference of age.

Sutton was the poster boy for the Da’s Against Deila (Dad for short) movement.

Cheers for the follow

Sutton is the ultimate Celtic Da hero on the basis that he 'got stuck right in aboot the huns' and the like. Never based on the fact he was a cracking player for us, but only on the basis that he annoyed the huns. Hence why having Sutton as your favorite player would make you more of the aforementioned Da than, say, PvH. A true Da would hate Pierre.

I wear Celtic stuff on holiday
Hate Pierre/Cadete/di Canio
Not a big fan of pyro
Think the 90s were shampooe

On the other hand
Love the rebs
Not a fan of Griffiths
Dont talk about Sevco much/at all
Dont say you cant complain about shampoo because the 90s were worse

Am I a Da or not? :hmmm:

Takes a Celtic scarf on holiday despite it being about 40 degrees.

Only to take said scarf/kit/pennant to local Irish/Sports bar to add a Hoops entry to ceiling of club paraphernalia.

Da'ness, personified.

The " Celtic da" patter is cringeworthy.

The use of the Sellic Da first started appearing just after Brendan arrived. A lot of those throwing out the "Sellic Da" had bought season books when Brendan arrived. They wanted to be part of the Brendan Revolution and this was their way of having a dig at those who supported the club before Brendan arrived.

A lot of it is contradictory. Apparently a Celtic Da wears photoshopped 'ra t-shirts, but condemns the singing of the rebs (that was all from the same list from the HB I think). A lot of it doesn't make any sense, it's just folk having a laugh about some idiosyncrasies peculiar to our support. I think some people are taking it a bit seriously mind :ponder:

Thought it was assumed that everyone is getting pelters on the thread, no exceptions. We all fall in there somewhere. Except Ste.

And everyone was aware of that.. Again, except Ste. Because he’s awesome.

Aye, I think there's a little bit of Celtic Da in all of us. Some of us dont mind embracing it.

One thing that hasnt been mentioned yet:

Folk who say Hail Hail to other Tims instead of hello and/or goodbye = Peak Da behaviour.
