I think the "Celtic da's" was coined by the young team who only really discovered Celtic fairly recently. Many of the Celtic da's on twitter are those who follow Celtic home and away and have done for many years. The young team are more what I'd call a new-age supporter / Brendanite. Celtic is fashionable for them just now. Indeed one of the leading young team (who spent last weekend spewing abuse at Bitton) has only been to one Celtic game. In the golden days the young team would be cracked on the bus and their behaviour kept in check. Twitter doesn't allow for such controls now, unfortunately.

Dunno whether you’re joking or not with that last line. It’s either quite funny or very wrong.

He’s spot on. Back in the day, the old skool patrolled the CSC’s like the ‘Ra in Free Derry - wee fuds were given warnings, then a punishment beating before the ultimate sanction of having their tammy sh at in. Tough love, but standards were higher then! :rocker:

It’s probably best that we’ve moved on from the days where adults could freely batter folk whose behaviour they didn’t like, is it not?

I'm sure most of those advocating the battering couldn't batter their way out of a wet copy of the flourish.

The whistling and leering when a female physio runs onto the pitch as well.

Da behaviour.
Aye, that Norwegian Physio we had was forever getting wolf whistled and propositioned

I'll give you that one, it's not as bad as it was.

We were playing I think a Swedish team a few years ago and two of their female physios ran on the park and the levels of Celtic Da'ness went off the chart.
