Onyekuru going on loan to Galatasaray from Everton. Can see why this kid wanted to join Celtic two years ago. Since going to Everton, he’s been sent on loan to Anderlecht, now Turkey, and still hasn’t kicked a ball for the club he actually signed for. The number of talented young footballers whose careers are stalling due to endless loan deals and never getting the chance to settle anywhere is staggering.
It's them who sign their own contracts.
Some, like Moussa can see another road - more long term & likely more successful.
This guy maybe could've gone another route, but I bet he's happy enough with his £50k+ per week anyway.
They make their beds..
In fairness, it’s not like he’s being loaned to Mickey Mouse clubs. Both loan spells will involve Champions League football and realistic chances to win some medals. He's not going to get those opportunities playing for Everton.
Sure, but switching teams and teammates every year, not getting the chance to settle in one place, being largely forgotten about by your parent club - none of these things are healthy long-term. Someone like Jason Denayer, for example, should be at the heart of that Belgian World Cup squad but he seems to be in limbo, shuttling from one loan deal to the next without ever getting any closer to the Man City starting team.

I read that Barcelona only signed Paulinho because Neymar wanted them to. They never really wanted the fella and his signing obviously didn’t stop Neymar from leaving.

To be fair to him, he did well last season.
Expect Barca to sign another Brazilian then. That market is massive for them.

Fernando Torres has signed for Sagan Tosu here in the J League. They're 2nd bottom of the table now and favourites to go down, but to be fair 4 points from safety.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep

I thought he was loaned out as he couldn’t get a work permit? The idea was for him to play well last season and get more international caps and then be eligible for a work permit this summer but that hasn’t gone to plan so he’s off on loan again to try get those caps this year. Bit of a cluster fluck...

Jean Michel Seri to Fulham for £20m apparently :o

Some signing if they pull that off. Was close to signing for Barça last summer and has been linked with a few of the top 4 clubs down south.

It was reported yesterday by Sky that he was in London, they just surmised it was Chelsea he was signing for.
What a signing that would be for Fulham.

Dunno how to embed tweets, but James Horncastle's latest suggests Juve have signed Ronaldo.

I get why Juventus want him and I sort of get why Real wouldn't be that reluctant to let him go but why does he want to leave?

I'm trying to wrap my head around this too. No doubt Real are probably getting the best deal. Even if it's Ronaldo or Messi 105 Million is a lot for a 33 year old. And he probably won't improve Juventus that much. It is, I imagine purely marketing and trying to make Juventus relevant, globally. For all the titles they've won, nobody outside Italy really rates them or by extension the Serie A, as highly as La Liga, the Premier League, or even the Bundesliga. This is a big gamble to try to make Juventus a top top team again. I'm not convinced it will work.

€100m for a 33 year old seems daft. Fiat must be financing it directly in the hope the increase in share price pays for it.
