How long is left on Kouassi's contract?
He has usually looked good when played & appears quite settled.
If to go on loan, we'd expect a loan fee & a good one at that.
Killie under Clarke would be a great idea, if he can't get games with us - but I guess he's for the off.
Shame & quite strange.

I'd be very surprised if Kouassi went anywhere permanently. He's highly regarded and needs game time. Give him a year loan to Killie or Hibs or the like.
Killie might be an ideal fit for loaning him if Mulumbu leaves them actually.
IF we sign McGinn he could end up n loan to Hibs as part of the deal?

I agree he has looked good when given a chance. Quite injury prone though maybe better at Hibs or Aberdeen rather than playing Rugby park thats if hes staying in scotland. Most likely he will go abroad though for the gametime

Think it was a four year deal in Jan 2017
He's been here a year and a half and rarely gets a game, even when Brown was rested or after the league was won.

I think Clarke would do better for him than Lenny or the badger.
But he deserves games & doesn't look to be getting any with us, which is very strange.
How can the £3m fee be anywhere near real? He'd only played a few games with Kransodar (sp).

All very weird if you ask me, not as if he's been Boerighter injured - he wants to play.

Cheers, friends!

Long time since my last post here. I hope our teams could face each other once again in new CL campaign. Discussion with such a loyal supporters as yourself was always interesting for me.

Any big names linked with FC Celtic at this transfer window?

And which is the most wanted signing for you?

We're trying to sign Edouard - who was on loan last season. Will take big money, but we're prepared to spend.

Don't want Astana again - no offence

hope you're keeping well.

Nice to hear from you

How do you square the circle of you acting all offended and indignant at someone for having an opinion on the internet while at the same time sticking up for a woman beater? That is a special talent you've got there pal

I think the question was whether you approve of a 'one strike and you're out' approach to life.
One strike and your out?

Out of what?

Is NJ advocating he should be imprisoned for life or thrown off a cliff face?

2nd chances don't need to involve being paid vast sums of money and turned into hero's of our children.

He can eff off and work his redemption doing charity work or fundraising for women's refuges.

Or he could go and get a normal job and remain anonymous. I don't really care but saying you don't want Celtic to sign a wife beater isn't the same as saying no one deserves a 2nd chance.

This is it. He's got a second chance. He isn't in jail right now.

Setting all that aside, he's barely kicked a ball in 3 years and 70 appearances at his age is a massive red flag. Right back is arguably our most pressing concern this window. If a woman-battering, injury-prone 25 year old with half as many professional appearances KT (on a free) is the best we can do then we're in trouble.

So we should sign him then :ponder:

I can see people's point of view, with the moral stance.
I doubt the Club or Brendan will look at it that way.
If we think he can improve the Squad on a free, then we should & probably will be looking at it.

There have been lots of players with issues, there always will be.
Seems like one of the better rumours anyway, even if it's based on nothing - I can see why people might think we're interested.

Don't care about Flannagan per se, but there are some embarrassing mental gymnastics going on around here to redefine 'second chance' to mean 'no second chance'. There's also a big difference between redemption and having a second chance, they aren't they same thing. Interestingly, we're trying to sign a lad who was involved in the random shooting of a pedestrian in the head from a moving vehicle. Seems like a good lad who has benefited from being given another chance.

And then theres:

UK Drink Driving Statistics. On average 3,000 people are killed or seriously injured each year in drink drive collisions. Nearly one in six of all deaths on the road involve drivers who are over the legal alcohol limit.

Just as well we don't have anyone...

I don’t want Flanagan near our club. The potentially crucial factor in all this though is that Rodgers knows him personally having managed him for over three years at Liverpool. If his experience of Flanagan is that he’s a good professional and the incident with his girlfriend is completely out of character and at odds with the player he worked with - it’s not inconceivable that he would want to give him a chance. I find it very difficult to get my head round it though. We’ve all done stupid things under the influence of alcohol; but for most people it’s completely unimaginable that you could do what he did and a shocking insight into his character.

 As is Griffiths.

The defending of Flanagan, and actively pushing for his signing, on here is hilarious. He'll soon have as many cheerleaders as John McGinn

That was my point yesterday. Forget his past etc., is a player whose only games in the last 3 years were for Bolton worth all of these pages of discussion??

He's 25 now, not a 21 year old kid.
