What ever happened to Bartosz Kapustka? The young polish player we were linked with around Euro 2016. Signed for Leicester for about £7million I’m sure. He looked a player.

That's a shame as he looked a really good prospect. Hope he can sort himself out and focus on having a good career.

REPORTS in France have suggested Celtic’s deal for Odsonne Edouard is edging closer quicker than expected because time is of the essence for PSG.

The French club is about to be wrapped by UEFA for falling foul of the their financial fair play rules – something PSG knew was coming.

UEFA are set to reveal their findings of their investigation into the club’s dealing on June 8th at which point the club could be slapped with a transfer embargo.

This means that the Parisian club would be unable to buy or sell players for a period of time.

The club are trying to raise funds to balance the books to avoid the harsher punishments UEFA could set them by raising €70-90million in player sales according to French newspaper L’equipe.

The paper reports that PSG have already identified players they want to sell and Osdonne is on the list.

The Celtic loan star has made no secret he wants to stay at Celtic Park beyond his loan deal which ended last month and told fans that this was just the beginning of his Celtic journey.

Brendan Rodgers told fans last month that Peter Lawell has already held talks about the player with a €7million fee the asking price.

If these reports are true, it’s now only a matter of time before a permanent deal is reached.

its not that they cant sell him, they need the money before the deadline to reduce the overall loss and hopefully receive a lesser punishment.

If it goes tits up then there will be cause for concern, right now I'm not sure why folk are getting impatient. Remy and Mikey seem to think the deal was heading the right way, hopefully we can save a few hundred grand or more on any agreed fee to utilise elsewhere, particularly as this club needs to sell.

Are we still paying his wages or could it be that we are waiting till the last minute to save a few quid?

If we are playing silly buggers and lose out there will be hell to pay.

If the player wants to come and we screw it up then there should be hell to pay. We've not seen much of that type of shenanigans lately but that would be same old Celtic, not striking while the iron is hot.

It really is time to put the foot down on the throat and ensure we bring in quality.

He wasn't signed to challenge him. He's a project. Maybe a dear one but every report you hear from behind the scenes about him is glowing. Given they're trying to teach him to replace one of our most successful captains, you'd effin hope we'd shell out a bit and be patient.

Maybe Brendan doesn't think it's fair to play him when the rest of the team generally don't kick their arse without Brown on the pitch. Playing him in a role he isn't training for (ie alongside Broony) won't do him any favours with our famously patient support either.
The manager has talked about competing with better teams in a physical sense. He talked about the need to have more power when we signed Ntcham. He is very much the template of a technically good footballer who also has physical attributes to allow him to mix it, although he could probably do with upping his pitch coverage and pressing at times, which will presumably come with age, coaching and development.

I've no doubt this was part of the thinking behind the move for Kouassi too, and it has worked out a bit differently. In fairness, the first six to ten months were mostly a write off due to him getting malaria then getting an ankle injury at the start of this season.

I also feel like we probably feel like we need to act more quickly to acquire players we think are diamonds in the rough because they get will soon be elevated out of our wage and fee bracket. There is inherently a greater level of risk in that.
Upping his pitch coverage. That's an impressive phrase seldom seen on a fans' forum such as kds. Tells me you are a serious student of the game.

We've seen the effects of not strengthening from a dominant position under nearly every Manager who's been successful, does it never get boring?

Then why would Remy and Mikey insist we want French Eddie and we're working toward that? It's on that basis I am discussing the prospective transfer, along with the media reports above. It all indicates we want him and he's a primary target. Add to that every fan appears to want him then I'm not sure what you're getting at.
