I reckon he will be as good as Hendry.

Mcginn might not improve the squad straight away but he will allow Scott Brown some rest and will improve under Rodgers and learning from Scott Brown enough to eventually be his replacement, if Brown himself rates him highly I take that recommendation over the football manager experts in here.

Usual nonsense, McGinn played well in his international debut, he has plenty development in him and wer5e people saying Scott Brown would lead us for 10 years and play in the champions league to the standard he he was when he was at Hibs?

You need a player in Browns mould with the drive and determination Scott has. . . McGinn has that.
I'm inclined to agree. We desperately need someone long term to replace Broony.

There’s definitely been no bid for McGinn from us.

I’d far rather we cut out the projects & signed a couple of proper CBs.

We really aren’t crying out for McGinn.

I don’t believe we’re even interested - Brendan would have signed him ages ago if he rated him.

Im by no means a massive McGinn fan however from what I have seen he is definetley good enough to be a squad player for us right now and still has development in him which can be manipulated by BR. He has shone in games against us and some of the cries for him not to sign is over the top. If the captain says he has been the toughest opponent to play against him in Scotland this year then its good enough for me.

Thought Rodgers had already stated that Kouassi was Brown's long-term replacement?

Would McGinn sign for servco if they offered enough ? If he did would he be a thorn in our side ? Just asking

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Can you see McGinn holding his own in the CL?

2.5m for a guy we don’t need to win domestically and is unlikely to help us reach the next level in Europe. If we’re spending 2.5m on a player, there must be better value out there.

Not for me
I'm not sure you realise how little a sum £2.5m is nowadays.
I still think we’d get better value from the continent.

2.5m is a still a decent fee, out with the larger nations. Throw in wages and you’re probably looking at a 4m deal.

You need a bit of home made heart and desire in a team. . .McGinn has that and very difficult to instill in someone.

I’ve kept an eye on McGinn for Hibs this season and any game I’ve watched McGeoch has been their outstanding player and we got rid of him. Wouldn’t be against giving them Allan and 1.5m as I think there’s a lot of improvement in him but 2.5m is a bit much. Was talking to Allan on my flight to Ibiza last week for my stag as he was going with Andy Halliday and he told me Halliday had to get another flight as he turned up at the airport with his burds passport

Don't really see the point in signing McGinn, TBH. Maybe I'd feel better if we threw in Ciftci and De Vries as part of the deal.

I think it does no harm. He is best midfielder outside Celtic in Scotland. He is a Celtic fan and as long as we identify guys like Dembele, Ntcham etc... there will always be a place for and need for Scottish talent.

I'd rather spend the McGinn money on trying to tempt Ki back up the road. Pretty sure he's available on a free.
