Terry wouldn’t be my first choice but we need experience especially away in Europe so wouldn’t be against it. Being mobile and quick is all well and good but a centre half who can defend would be nice and if they can organise others all the better
It doesn't matter how well you organise if you can't run. You need the entire set up of the team built around your limitations. We push fullbacks on, play with forward minded midfielders and frankly Brown isn't a natural screening defensive midfielder. We let an awful lot of midfield runners loose at the best of time. Having a centre back who could literally only play with the ball in front of him is madness.

People get wedded to names, there's very few players playing well at 37-38 even central defenders. Even Kolo Toure was only 35 when we signed him and he didn't make it more than 6 months as a squad player. Toure at his peak was far far more mobile than Terry.

Aye but Terry at 38 is much much more mobile than Toure at 35

He's not. When I watched Aston Villa last season he had the turning circle of an oil tanker.

I seem to recall Toure in XXL shorts getting the run around by Louis Moult at 35.

Record has us as favourites to sign Joe Hart.

Along with the huns, as if they don't have enough keepers already.

I suppose the same could be said about us.
The best thing that can be said about the Hart rumour is that it's made me reassess the "McGinn to Celtic" notion.

I'd prefer him in goal to Hart

John Terry? John effing Terry? Eff all the way off! Can we please get past the idea that signing has-beens to give them one last pay check is a viable option. It's effing embarrassing, and 99% of the time is a bloody expensive, but ultimately pointless exercise.

Which isn’t even the worst thing he’s done.

A vile human being. Was bad enough seeing him at Parkhead for a charity game.

Stear well clear.
