Castles is a Scot who's own team are that pish he's ended up being more of a fan of English fitba and a certain team. Like a lot of fans of shampooey teams he imagines every other club to be in the same pisition as his His work is mainly about down there too and unless he is spinning a story for Jose Mourinho I doubt there is anything worthy of attention in his articles.
In the mould of that trumpet Paddy Barclay.

Was at an event at the Glasgow Book Festival where he was a guest and he said his twenty minutes of watching Celtic on the TV in the background that weekend was enough to confirm to him that we were English League One standard

Later the same year we'd be in the last 16 of the Champions League.
A lot of these journos don't know the first thing about football in the on-field sense. It's amazing they manage to make a living covering the game. Tom English for example never offers any insight about a game he's watching other than to say the team that won "looked up for it" and the team that lost looked "bereft of ideas". Ditto Graham Spiers, Ewan Murray, etc. They're just guys who've read Middlemarch.

Spot on regards their grasp of the actual sport itself. At least Spierdo will be remembered for finally getting round to questioning Mint, amongst a select few others... Tom, well Tom wrote this:

Craig Whyte stood chatting in the trophy room at Ibrox, some of his business associates :chuffed: wandering about for what could well have been their first look at the gleaming silverware, the pottery, the pennants and the pictures that capture the history of the club on four walls.

Smiling broadly, and with his father in the building with him, Whyte came across as very different to his predecessor. He had none of the Sir David Murray bravado. He was calculating and impressive in his own way and clearly delighted to have finally
come to the end of a tortuous road

Can't believe they've baulked at £25 million that would have been an absolute steal

Exactly . Brendan Rodgers gives a generic answer but it’s enough to allow the media for several days to claim Everton are on the edge of making a bid when in reality it was complete fabrication

Perhaps so but if it was fabricated by celtic then perhaps it’s with the purpose of advertising that our players ain’t cheap and if you want them then top dollar is required

Imo it was fabricated y the press to indicate we either want or need to sell.

It's really not. He's not quick enough or strong enough.
