Why are so many English players called Harry all of a sudden?

Edit: nevermind, he's Welsh.
It’s not restricted to the football, the country is hoaching with 20 year olds named Harry at the moment.

Just before they were born a young ginger lad got everyone’s motherly instincts all fired up whilst walking behind a herse. And William is a dreadful name.
In a couple of years we’re going to tripping over people called Alfie, Ollie, Charlie and Harry. Forname diminutives have now became proper first names.

Just realised my son is called Dessie. I’m going to have to wheel back my own sneeriness on this issue.

FULHAM are set to join the race to land Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata.

SunSport understands the London club are eyeing a big-money move for the Belgium World Cup star.

Boyata has 12 months left on his Celtic contract and Brendan Rodgers still hopes he will sign an extension.

But the defender’s impressive displays in Russia have led to serious interest from across Europe.

Lazio scouted Boyata at the World Cup and Fulham are now monitoring his situation, along with Turkish and French clubs.

Craven Cottage boss Slavisa Jovanovic is reshaping his squad after promotion to to the Premier League.

Celtic don’t want to sell the defender – but could be tempted to cash in if he doesn’t agree to a new deal.

Boyata, 27, has improved hugely under Rodgers and played in all three of Belgium’s group stage games.

The former Man City man put his contract talks on hold while in Russia – and Celtic now face a fight to keep him.

Fulham have money to spend and could offer Boyata a huge wage, along with the chance of Premier League football.

Speaking recently, Boyata admitted he had not decided whether to stay at Celtic – or look to move on.

He said: “Right now, I am concentrating on the World Cup. I am not thinking about my future.

“I still have a year on my contract and we will see after the summer if I continue with Celtic again.”

CELTIC have dropped their interest in former Hull City full-back Moses Odubajo.

The ex-England under-20 international flew out to the club’s training camp in Austria last week and held talks with Brendan Rodgers.

But it’s believed the Hoops won’t be following up their interest and are looking at other options.

Odubajo, 24, has spent two years out of the game through injury, undergoing THREE knee operations.

Now fully-fit, he was pictured training at former club Brentford yesterday as he continues his hunt for a new club.

Celtic are in the market for a new right-back to provide competition for Mikael Lustig.

Cristian Gamboa doesn’t have a future at the club while Anthony Ralston could head out on loan again.

Meanwhile Celts will slap in a second bid for Hibs midfielder John McGinn.

CELTIC boss Brendan Rodgers faces a major battle to convince Liverpool to loan him Harry Wilson.

The Welsh international is among Brendan Rodgers’ top targets, along with Hibs midfielder John McGinn.

The Hoops have already failed in a bid of around £1.5million for McGinn but will go back in again.

The Scottish champions are keen on a season-long loan for Wilson, but it’s understood the Anfield club are reluctant to sanction the deal.

Wilson is in talks with Liverpool over a new contract, and is also on the verge of Jurgen Klopp’s first team.

If they do decide to put the 21-year-old out on loan again they would prefer to keep him in England after his successful loan spell at Hull City last season.

The Tigers and Championship rivals Norwich City are among clubs who want him back.

Another major reservation Liverpool have is the fact that Charly Musonda’s loan move from Chelsea to Celtic ended prematurely and without great success.

Patrick Roberts did prove slightly more successful when he came up from Manchester City, although his second spell wasn’t as productive.

The one thing that Rodgers has in his favour is that he has worked with Wilson before at Anfield.

Celtic are trying to tie up business ahead of tonight’s Champions League deadline, although they can still field a wildcard signing against FC Alashkert after that.

Everton are also expected to push on with their £25m bid for Kieran Tierney in the coming days.

Almost the worst thing about articles like that is that you feel like a fairly unsophisticated computer could churn out pretty much all of the stuff they produce, but when you read that, it's obvious that a human wrote it. Because the computer surely couldn't be that pish. And you think, they have to go home in the evening knowing they produced that piece of writing, and it was published.

Hibs No.2 Garry Parker insists Celtic target John McGinn is unfazed by speculation surrounding his future after he missed this friendly win.

He confirmed: “Celtic have submitted a bid as we all know but John is our player at the moment. I don’t know what price we would be looking for. You would need to ask the board.

“But nothing fazes John, he will be playing on Sunday and we are looking forward to that ahead of a big game against Runavik.

“Tongues will always be wagging but John was just being rested, like Marv (Bartley) and Flo (Kamberi). We wanted to give a few of the young boys a run out and they did very well.”

"With Patrick Roberts looking unlikely to return to Celtic either permanently or temporarily, Rodgers should be in the market for another right-sided player who can cut inside onto their favoured left-foot to devastating effect, and Honda certainly fits the bill."
