A bit late for that.
Eh? I wasn't the one that you were arguing with. I simply mentioned that McGinn scored twice in that match too
Therefore entering the argument.

I knew what you meant ;)

Think if we sign Mcginn we will play something like this in the champions league

---------------------Gordon
---------Boyata---Jozo----Ajer
Forrest--Mcginn--Brown--Tierney
---------------------Ntcham
---------------------Rogic
---------------------Dembele

Would give us a solid hold in midfield and allow us to hit on the counter

leicester fan on twitter asking a journo if hes heard anymore on paddy going to them. journo said man city want 15m

id say thats closer to the truth than phill claiming they offered him to us for 6m
Not that I’m endorsing Phil but maybe we’re entitled to a reduced fee after paying loan fees and wages for the best part of his contract.

I don’t think Brendan even wants him after his lack of opportunities last year. He’s also said he wants to try something else.

McGregor and McGinn are different players. McGregor has made it easy for us to lose Armstrong, and players more in the final 3rd like Rogic. McGinn would be more like Brown or Ntcham one of th 2 deeper midfielders
They are midfielders. McGregor is better at almost every aspect of the game barring sticking his arse out, getting booked and scrambling for a ball.
Are we playing 11 a side down with our pals the Recs or are we trying to improve as a football side?

I wonder what game some people are watching.
McGregor has been fantastic for us and would play ahead of McGinn but McGinn is better at tackling and winning the ball back.I think he would be a great signing.

When james maddison costs £22m, it would be daylight robbery if paddy would be sold for £6m.

mcginn, although a different type of player, is a better player than mcgregor. completely dominated him most times we played hibs this season (cup apart).

for me he's an obvious signing.
Away ye go.

Callum McGregor a key Part of everything we've done, scorer in finals. OF games, European games isn't as good as McGinn? At what? Fighting?

Hacking.

Every player is different to another in one way shape or form, it doesnt mean you can commit to saying one is better than another or otherwise. For example, messi is a better player than lee naylor.

The idea that mcginn is better than mcgregor is ludicrous

We need to replace Armstrong, McGinn fits the bill, the manager clearly wants him and he will get him, he will flourish here...but currently he’s not at McGregors level yet, but even some of the luminaries on here never rated Callum but he’s a first pick under BR now.
What attributes do you think McGinn has that means he fits the bill for replacing Armstrong?

Personally I find it silly to compare a player to another one who's role in the team is totally different.

Probably better comparing like for like.

I think I'll actually be disappointed if we sign McGinn now.....'cos it will deprive us of the pleasure of seeing how many of those stating he's not good enough would about face an moan about the missed opportunity to pick him up for buttons when he's a £50million rated* midfielder with an average EPL side in a couple of years

(* estimated going rate for a decent but unspectacular mid-table EPL battler in 2 years time)

I think he'll be decent enough. I just don't see where he fits into the team right now. Brown, McGregor and Ntcham are all miles better than him.

It's also a bit of a disservice to how good Brown actually is to think McGinn will be a capable replacement because he runs about and gets stuck in.

There's a bit more to McGinn's game than that. He plays a lot of really nice passes and scores some excellent goals.

It’s not a like for like replacement it’s more to do with numbers, if anything I see him more of Broony’s replacement i.e a box to box player..
