I’m not filled with joy at the thought of KT leaving but it was going to happen eventually. And I will always remember him as aCeltic great especially if he excels in years to come with whoever (just as King Kenny is held in such regard).
The squad will be weakened with Armstrong gone and minus the WC players but at least we have recognised defenders and don’t have to rely on a makeshift like we did with Biton.
I do want a LB, RB and CB in pronto though. As for other positions I think we might be okay if returning loan players and off the boil players the likes of Sinclair find form.
not a chance in hell will KT be remembered anything like Kenny if he goes now.. He won't have a a Celtic player long enough to be a Celtic great (a member of a great team but not himself someone you'd have up there with great Celtic players of the past)

If he goes summer after 10 in a row, thats exactly who he will be like.
Exactly. He'll be remembered like a Lou Macari at best. His Celtic career has turned up less trophies that Stuart Armstrong and he's not going to be remembered as a Celtic great, so why would Tierney?
He was here as a first team player before Armstrong, surely?

Although I do get your point

This window will make or break the 10 in a row imo, if we sell Tierney and fail to get to the champions league groups then the 25m will pretty much disappear towards the wage bill for the year.

We would need to find a first team lb, get Boyata to sign a new deal and if not punt him and buy a replacement, need to offload Gamboa and get a new right back. Also need Dembele to extend his deal or we will need to sell him either this window or in January, we can not let him leave on a free like he did with Fulham.

That still leaves us short a right winger to replace paddy, and we would have Hayes/Miller as our back up left backs.

A big number of deals need to be done if we are to comfortably win the league this year
If we don't make the CL, then the wage bill isn't as high as the accounts show. It is heavily incentivised, based on bonus money for CL qualification.

If we don't make the CL, we can probably afford not, to sell a player this season, but would maybe need to next season, if we didn't make the CL again.

We have spent very little of the CL money over the past 2 years. In terms of what has went out and what has come in, we shouldn't need to entertain bids of less than market value, especially if it is for players, who (on the face of it) are happy at Celtic and won't push for a move, when interest is shown in him.

Would be nice to hear about one or two potential incoming signings this week rather than outgoings. The uncertainty over Boyata, Lustig and now Tierney’s availability for the early CL qualifying rounds should be getting addressed.

Don't think so. Less appearances and less trophies than Armstrong. Armstrong started playing in Feb 2015, which got him a league winner's medal. Tierney made two appearances that season.

It's to late already to do much effectively about that if any of these come to pass.

That's pretty surprising, I'd assumed they both broke through in that Inter Milan season, but KT was a towards the end of that campaign as you say.

His contract ended yesterday so I’m guessing we may see him play tomorrow. Could be wrong.

I would be very surprised if he played as a trialist, I am sure they will try him out in training games before making a decision.

He broke his leg in what was supposed to be his debut season iirc.
