Sack the agent. Everton? Aye, definitely got his best interests at heart there.

From what I’ve heard before, the pressure isn’t coming from his agent.

I think Everton have been feeding the press with this story
100% from liverpool area.. question is it a flyer or is it real confidence.

one thing i keep thinking, lets say this is true and KT wants to go.. Everton?? jesus, doesn't say much going to a club that is second in their own city and won't win anything... if your leaving for £25-30m you should be going to better than that, you don't need to do what VVD did... he'd be behind Andy Robertson for rest of his career down there.
You have to wonder if they've had some encouragement or are bluffing. He turned down Arsenal two years ago ffs :(

the suggestion i heard as far back as 6 months ago is people talking to his old man who thinks he should go...heard a few people say it but you take everything with pinch of salt.

also if true or anyone his family, Everton?? in the name of the wee man.

Perhaps Mr Spiers should be reporting on the 'worrying times' for Sevco fans - The Takeover Panel's relentless pursuit of King, the Court Of Session order, King possibly being in contempt of Court, The Cold Shoulder and its repercussions for Sevco, the mythical share issue in June, a convicted criminal chairman, the chairman's lies and broken promises, no Nomad, no share issue, no hope, more and more loans, more and more debt, directors walking away, perhaps more directors walking away, directors calling in loans, UEFA FFP rules, a rookie manager, Easyjet, wheelie bin ice baths.........ad infinitum

Do your job, Spiers, or are you just another SMSM stenographer being fed succulent lamb by Jabba?

There is a rumour - emphasis on the word rumour, I do not know anyone in the Tierney family - that there are family members concerned that KT is being left behind by what Robertson is achieving and earning at Liverpool.

Stress that it is a rumour, it could also be a load of tosh.

To be fair, he’s one of the more vocal journalists when it comes to the Huns. He calls it like he sees it most of the time, rightly or wrongly.

On this occasion, he’s only reporting on the comments that have been on here for the last page or so from BR whilst sitting down with the press in Austria. He was asked a question on Tierney going to Everton and he’s given a very open answer.

my response to that and as you say a rumour is... a move to everton is the one move that puts him firmly in andy robertson's shadow.

if you leave celtic for 25-30m you leave for a club who can win things.

For the sake of discussion , he may earn similar to Robertson at Liverpool if he went to Everton but that`s it. As career moves go it would be as thick a decision as Charlie Nicholas going to Arsenal. Hopefully it`s a load of made up internet shampooe.

Like Dembele he is capable of going near the top of the game but not yet. That kind of move could kill him.

simply put it reads either as BR warming us up to something or in the nice hotel and heat in Austria, BR has been a bit to open and candid with the media.

as things stands, its BR words fueling this fire... everything else is rumours.

he's now likely put KT in the position were if there nothing here we'll get a, i'm here for 10 quote in next few days or as i said BR is warming us up for something none of us want.

Andy Robertson's also had 1 year on that money.. before that he was on decent (not amazing money at hull) played for dundee united.

KT is on to what his third contract at Celtic? one only signed 7-8 months ago... i doubt there earnings over their career andy has earned more than KT.

Those same earnings will be on offer in 3 years time when KT is the same age AR is right now... a 20 y/o kid who seems like a homebody going to a club like everton who will never win anything of note or serious challenge... there a hole to dig KT and throw him in... but if he chooses it then as you say as daft a move as CN if it happens.

No point saying why Everton?

The club will have a price if any club meets it - he’ll more than likely go. He will feel the club will be happy to let him go and will have taken the decision for him, then he’ll probably sign a 5 year deal worth about 90k per week.

I don’t see him digging his heels in and refusing to move to certain clubs.

Would be to our advantage if he moves to an Everton. We’re more likely to cash in on sell on clause when he eventually moves to a top 4 side.

We all want him here for the ten, I’m sure he does want to stay until then but he’s hardly going to say otherwise to any Celtic supporter that asks him.

We should be asking for 30m with 10% sell on.

Yeah, but we’re in the best position here. He’s signed a six year deal last season so you could argue that this is the strongest position the club have ever been in for any outgoing transfer in its history.

BR doesn’t always play the media well. The Dembélé situation in January was handled terribly, and I felt that was all so avoidable. Could be the same here again.

If he is to go, fair enough. Don’t care if it’s Everton or any other club. Whoever gives us the best deal can have him.

Many years ago, Spiers considered himself to be a journalistic crusader in the pursuit of truth in the SMSM. He abandoned those ideals. The pro-Hun agenda influences every one of the hacks.

Spiers is just another slavering, sycophantic Sevco lickspittle.
