A bit shampooe to stick around at a club injured for two years presumably being paid and treated then eff off on a Bosman at the first opportunity...
He's been fit since March, having been injured playing for Hull in a pre season friendly in July 2016.

Adkins has opted not to played him and has been holding out on getting him to sign a reduced deal, which he is perfectly within his rights to refuse.

His performance in the 15/16 Play Off Final helped get Hull to the Premier League, earning them tens of millions of pounds.

Hull will also have insurance in place.
Fair enough.

I know he's perfectly entitled to see his contract out, but our fans haven't exactly been sympathetic when it's happened here. Liam Miller, for example.

The timing of him joining the squad probably coincides with fact that we need to wait until 1 July to do anything otherwise we are liable for a development fee (was similar situation for Ledley and Dembele previously). Might also restrict him from training too until next week.

I'm sure the boy will find a way to keep his fitness up over there, until July 1st comes around. :)

http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/sport/leytonorient/10197535.Orient_boss_insists_Moses_Odubajo_is__not_going_anywhere_/

There's a link to this article on his wiki page that claims we were interested in him when he was at Leyton Orient in 2013
Congretons time machine in operation again.

IF he signs, please don't be another Marvin Compper
Transfers are always interesting but in a few years time it will be intriguing to compare post John Park with his time at the club.

Congerton didn't inspire confidence for me but he's clearly had big time experience, if sometimes negative. Hopefully it's been a learning curve and we will benefit from the best of him.

I saw Moses a bit when he was at Brentford too. I'd say that if he is 75% where he was then, he'll be best right back in Scotland by some distance.

Between 2012 and 2016 he played over 200 league games and was first choice in a very strong U20 international squad. He was very highly-rated.

If this guy hadn't been injured, he wouldn't be at Hull now and he'd be worth at least £20m in England. IF he is over his injuries and can prove to the medical team that there are no long-term worries then it is a no-brainer. We need a right back urgently and this guy was quality.

If you want to compare him to Flanagan - Flanagan made 70 appearances in 8 years, got 4 youth international caps and one full international friendly cap under Taylor and Hodgson respectively who were giving them out like sweeties and, since suffering a serious knee injury, has done nothing.

I don't understand why people seem to think we have to spend money to get quality. As others have said, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't for a whole variety of reasons irrespective of fee.

We have to face reality that Scotland is not an attractive environment for the quality of footballers that people are demanding. It is not even just as easy as rocking up with a big fee and a decent salary because our salaries are nothing compared to the EPL and are no more attractive than the English Championship. Our only selling points to quality footballers, frankly, are (limited) European football and a stepping stone to the EPL, but if they're already in that quality bracket they will be looking to head to the EPL (or other more attractive league) anyway.

Miller was developed here and offered a substantial wage increase. Yer man came through at Leyton Orient and has been pissed about by his manager of late. Hardly the same.

No two situations are exactly the same but one of the major gripes levelled at Miller was that we saw him through serious injuries and he left.

I didn't know the manager had been messing him about. Just read he'd been injured for two years and offered a new deal.

Spending money doesn't always guarantee success, nor does scouring the market for free transfers.

Barcelona signed Henrik Larsson on a free transfer. Man City paid 50m for John Stones.

If this guy is over his injuries, and I'd trust our medical team to establish his condition, he sounds like a player worth having.
Hope so but we’d be laughing if a certain other club had declared an interest to sign him.
No we wouldn't. He is a proven player, but has had injuries. He was pictured on the bench in training gear in Austria so it isn't just talks.

I saw him play at Brentford and if he's half as good now as he was then, he'll be the greatest right back to ever have played football for Brentford, Hull and Celtic.

Interesting that he's over in Austria, unable to take part - but that his contract ends in 4 days, meaning he'll be totally free

Seeing both how highly rated & in form he was 2 years ago in a promotion winning championship side before injury, coupled with his apparent return to fitness - does show that he's worth a look.

He's over there from the start & presumably he'll get games from next week. Puts us in a very good position to sign him & is an example of where we like to fish.
Guys like Benyu & even Allan or Christie are similar signings. We'll not lose money & could unearth a gem, like Gordon for example.

Boerighter still hurts & I doubt we'll take a risk on his fitness.

He did an interview in January saying he was nearly ready link - he was then ready to play in March according to himself on Twitter

Although the right-back has not featured in a competitive fixture for City since the 2016 Championship play-off final, there was initially hope that Odubajo could return from a long lay-off before this season concluded after recovering from three knee operations.

Hamstring problems have since blocked Oduabjo’s path back towards the City first team but the 24-year-old yesterday claimed his continued absence was not down to fitness concerns.

“Gutted I’m not involved today against my old team. For all asking I’m fit and ready to get playing,” Odubajo wrote on social media ahead of kick-off.

Adkins had suggested on Friday that the right-back could play some part in the season finale but after seeing Jarrod Bowen earn City a point at Griffin Park, the head coach suggested Odubajo was not fit enough.

“I’ve not read his Twitter,” said Adkins. “I’ll answer the question and in my opinion he wasn’t fit to play the game.

“He’s had a couple of days of training and I’ve made the decision to play Fik (Fikayo Tomori) at right-back. If (Moses) is fit then that’s great, he can come to Kenya and play there.”

Odubajo is one of seven players due to see his current contract expire at the end of this season but can expect to learn if he is still a part of Adkins’ plans in the coming days.

He was offered a new deal on reduced terms - as were the majority of out of contract Hull payers - McGregor went back to the huns, for example - you'd imagine they won't be paying very much given how skint they are. Dawson & Hernandez have knocked contracts back too. Think Hull have been out of the PL for too long to keep a squad like that going. Adkins seems a bit of a knob anaw.

I saw him play a couple of times for Hull, including the play-off final against Wednesday at Wembley. Would be lying if I said I remember very much about him but I do recall him setting up a brilliant chance for Andy Robertson which he ballooned over the bar.

In that 2015/16 Hull promotion season Odubajo played 53 games. More than Andy Robertson, Harry Maguire and players like Elmohamady, Diame, Livermore and Huddlestone. We would be unlikely to get sniffy about any of the aforementioned players. He was also younger than all of them, even Maguire.

Robertson had more goals and assists from the left back position (4 and 7), but Odubajo still had 4 assists.

He has literally not played a competitive game since. Now, there's a huge down side to that in terms of risk and the lad's career, but the return is potentially massive if he is fully rehabilitated, he's mentally strong and has a point to prove.

His clips also show him to have real pace.

Let's face it, some folk would be happier with it if he had a big shiny £3m fee attached.

He hasn't played in two years.

This is a huge risk & one we don't really need to take.

People are disappointed as this guy is the board's answer to the glaring problem we've had at RB for about three years now. If we had a competent RB, I don't think many would have a problem - Moses would be back up, and could well force himself into the side.

We're essentially rolling the dice on whether or not we continue for another season with Lustig at RB.
