if he has been out of the game due to injury in two years, he needs some serious building up, no matter how fit he is, IF he is signed we should be lucky to see him on this side of Xmas
Shame on you.

This place is getting worse.

First we’re off to Mount Ararat resting place of Noah’s ark

Now Moses’ joining no doubt after a bit of miracle healing on those knees

Season’s shaping up nicely

I remember this boy being talked about when he was at Brentford. If the medical team reckon he'd be able to pull through whatever he's been going through I think this might be a great signing. Fingers crossed they make the right decision.

Article said he has been working on it with some of the best people, rehab wise.

Worth a look for sure, any issues, we'll walk away as seen with Coetzee the SA boy.
That’s fine if we have a Plan B. But when the Rivaldo Coetzee deal broke down, we ended up going with what we had and subsequently conceded 25 goals in European games.

My initial thought with Moses was that is this really that different from them signing Flanagan (apart from him not having a criminal record), but thinking on it further, Flanagan has been back fit and playing for over 2 years. He just hasn't been good enough. Moses well not be good enough either, you never know how a player will be after such a long lay off, but if everything else adds up then he's certainly worth a shot. I remember him from his first season at Hull, but assumed he'd just dropped off the radar these last 2 seasons, and didn't realize he'd had such a bad injury. From what I recall, he certainly looked a player back then so will be interesting to see how this one goes.

If he pulls through the examination we could see him phased in through the season and Lustig phased out, which would feel sensible. Lustig has the unfortunate demeanor of looking a bit broken all the time but he has been good in Russia and can still perform well on occasion. He's still only 31 but we do need better.

Wonder what happened to the "blue ribbon" signing we used to eagerly anticipate every transfer window. Mind you, I don't think we ever got one.
So you’re wondering what’s happened to the thing that you think never happens? Cool.
I was referring to the many posts in previous transfer threads calling for a large chunk of cash to be spent on a "blue ribbon" signing. I was being facetious. I won't bother doing that again.

PS. I am aware of Edouard. So we did get one!

Surely a 'Blue Ribbon signing' would be a biscuit tin signing?

Thought we were trying to move away from that?

If we were getting him in his pomp, I’d be delighted, but you have to wonder what level he’s at or will be capable of.

My hopes this summer was brining in proven quality that was an upgrade on Lustig.

There's a link to this article on his wiki page that claims we were interested in him when he was at Leyton Orient in 2013

i'd give him a chance . Low wage but with a healthy appearance money bonus. That way he wont cost much if he's not fit.

Pretty underwhelmed at the thought of signing a right back Hull don't want who's been injured for 2 years to be honest.

What happened to only bringing in players who will improve or are better than the current crop? Sounds like more penny pinching to be honest.

Everyone knows we need another good centre back and quality right back to really improve the defence just go and pay for the right two players instead of trying to find a cheap deal and messing up 3 or 4 times before you find the right one.

I have a mate in Hull who is a big City fan, never misses a game and knows his football. I asked him if Odubajo was a good move for us and he reckons so. It seems he's been fit since March but Adkins wouldn't play him as the player refused to sign a new and reduced contract. Here's what he said...

Hopefully, yep. He deserves a break. He joined us for fairly big money, £3m and was a key player in the last promotion winning side. Everyone was excited to see how he'd go in the Premier League - he's a guy with all the tools to be a modern full-back, but obviously his knee collapsed and we didn't get to see what he could do. He's effectively done two comebacks, as he broke down immediately after the first comeback. He declared himself fit to play from about March, but was never selected by arch-clown, Nigel Adkins. I'm sure there's an element of politics involved, given Moses was a Steve Bruce player. He was offered a new (reduced) contract, but we're not a club who values players. Every out of contract player refused a new deal and we've currently got a five-a-side team reporting for pre-season. A few social media gobshampooes think he should have given us another season, given he's cost us a lot of money, but that's football. The vast majority wish him well and hope he puts the injuries behind him. He had a decent reputation off the pitch, too.

Probably not a massive gamble.

We were talking about how signing Caulker would be a massive gamble, yet it turned out to be one that Dundee could afford to make. Within 10 minutes of him playing for them it would cost us over a million if we now wanted him.

Added to the fact that we also forked out for Hendry who, if performances are anything to go by, needs a rapid improvement or quickly replaced, sometimes you're better off just taking the initial gamble - if you bet smart.
