Completely different circumstances being a full back but if we could repeat what we’ve done with Gordon we could be on to a player. Good interview a few pages back. Seems hungry.

Hopefully his injuries are behind him because going by Hull fans on Twitter his ability is not in doubt.

Here's a journo down there. .

Moses Odubajo is on trial with @CelticFC in Austria. Strange decision for me, but good luck to him, unreal talent when fit. #HCAFC #CELTIC

Just saw him staying in England, however if you’re going to leave there isn’t anywhere better you can go than Celtic, if he joins you’ve got yourself a real player.
If we get this boy and get him fit, we have a diamond. I hope this is true

Odubajo looked class a few years ago. Rapid and good with both feet.

Would still like to think we are looking at other right backs though.

if he has been out of the game due to injury in two years, he needs some serious building up, no matter how fit he is, IF he is signed we should be lucky to see him on this side of Xmas

Article said he has been working on it with some of the best people, rehab wise.

Worth a look for sure, any issues, we'll walk away as seen with Coetzee the SA boy.

I think Moses will fit in nicely with a squad that includes J. Christ. They'll be washing each other's feet in no time.

CELTIC could offer former Hull City right-back Moses Odubajo a shock chance to revive his career.

The ex-England under-20 international has spent TWO YEARS out of the game through injury.

But the 24-year-old last night jetted into Austria for talks with Brendan Rodgers and could join Celtic on a free – should all go well.

Odubajo joined Hull from Brentford for £3.5million in 2015 – and was an instant hit with his dynamic displays.

But his last competitive game was in the 2016 Championship play-off final – enduring 24 months of injury hell since.

Odubajo underwent three knee operations after being crocked in a pre-season friendly against Grimsby Town.

Now fully fit, the full-back last week confirmed he was quitting the KCOM Stadium at the end of his deal on June 30.

And Rodgers has wasted little time in inviting the defender over for talks at Celtic’s pre-season camp near Linz.

The Celtic boss is in the market for a new right-back and is exploring the possibility of offering Odubajo a deal.

It’s understood he WON’T train with the Hoops in Austria – but talks are expected to continue in the coming days.

If all goes well, Odubajo could be handed the chance to resurrect his promising career in Scotland.

Celtic face Vorwarts Steyr in Austria tonight – but Scott Brown and Jonny Hayes could miss the friendly after sitting out training.

Wait so he’s not on trial and just over for talks? Bit risky no?

Tierney brings so much to the side from LB, and we should striving to have the same at RB. I cannot see a 24 year old released by Hull offering that.

A plague or three wouldn't go amis either, (one they're not suffering from already). I like the sound of this lad, for the price of his wages I think he's well worth a punt. Hopefully he's getting good advice and won't be asking for stupid money in signing fees like that twerp Guidetti. Screw the nut and the money will come!

What was that Ruckus?

I watched him very regularly with Brentford in the season before his move to Hull. Obviously that's a few years ago now but he was excellent. Quick, two-footed, great going forward and linked well with the winger, providing overlap after overlap. He also played winger a few times as well and showed good ability at getting past defenders. You could tell he was a player.
He could also defend pretty solidly and had incredible recovery pace. I hope the injuries haven't destroyed his pace or his confidence, because he had both in abundance and was a really promising player. He may well have moved onwards and upwards from Hull by now if he'd have stayed fit; I remember talking about him as a future England international, as he was in the U20s team and looked like going the distance, although was probably getting a bit carried away.

The only issue may be his height. He was vulnerable to a diagonal ball over his head and occasionally found it difficult to win headers against tall, athletic wingers. That said, his recovery pace helped him deal with those situations pretty well.

Ahhh at last, some sense and insight.

It looks as if it isn't a trial anyway and that he's in Austria for talks. Would not surprise me if those talks included a full medical evaluation.

Surely a fracture isn't that much of a problem anyway provided it's had enough time to heal?
