This boys really highly rated and was tipped for big things could possibly be a good bit of business from us.
Or more of a Craig Gordon/Boyata type punt. Career progress curtailed by serious injury with value to be had if they regain what they had. Particularly low risk venture in the case of Gordon who cost nothing.

Hopefully his injuries are behind him because going by Hull fans on Twitter his ability is not in doubt.

Here's a journo down there. .

Moses Odubajo is on trial with @CelticFC in Austria. Strange decision for me, but good luck to him, unreal talent when fit. #HCAFC #CELTIC

Just saw him staying in England, however if you’re going to leave there isn’t anywhere better you can go than Celtic, if he joins you’ve got yourself a real player.

Odubajo was great before his injury. Think he was at Brentford before Hull? Low risk checking if he’s still got it

Stick him in a 100m sprint with Gamboa, whoever wins gets a contract. :rocker:

Looks quality going forward. My natural reservation was can he defend too?

Still no idea, but his pre-injury plaudits suggest probably.

Let's see. He seems pretty low risk, but I'd like to be covering several bases with regards to our defence. Hopefully we've got options.

This isn't a comment on this fella, who may well be the real deal. But a signing is only 'low risk' if we're well covered in that position.

We do need a right back to do more than take the heat off Lustig. We need one to replace Lustig. If we sign this guy we need him to be good.

Is there anything to be said for spending proper money on a better right back to replace Lustig?

At least this year’s trialist isn’t related to the manager.

Why would we spend £5million if we might be able to get someone just as good for free? If the trial doesn’t work out then hopefully we have alternatives lined up in case it doesn’t happen.

After all the Flanagan furore on here ( not nailing any colours to the mast ) I’d love it if Brendan took a chance on the boy and he turned up trumps 👍 I know Congerton gets pelters on here but it’d be funny if this one turned up trumps !! FWIW I like the guy Sabaly of Senegal whose with Bordeaux, and Fagner of Brazil but being realistic we’ve not got a chance. However the laugh is our 2 R/Bs PC Lustig and Gamboa have performed well, although we’d all agree aren’t good enough in Europe but fine domestically.
As Jimmy Greaves used to say “ It’s a funny old game “ 😜
