Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
...and yet mysteriously managed to keep perennial world cup favourites goalless for the duration of his time on the pitch. Hes been consistently effective for Costa Rica despite not being given game time. I know that doesn't keep to the narrative of Brendan knowing best, but who am I to suggest that his selection in rotation with Lustig last season would have resulted in a far greater points differential over Aberdeen.

I always prefer the truth and exposing lickspittles to fawning over the incumbent manager.
I always prefer the truth to boringly obvious contrarians.

Neymar is a currently rotten. Marcelos, who I love as a player, is not far behind him right now. This Brazil team, as shown today, is playing nothing near the level they can and struggled for a lot of this game and all of the last one.

Gamboa would be better off in the MLS where is lack of awareness will be handily covered up by his pace.

Edit - just to highlight your myopia, BR signed Gamboa. It was a poor signing amongst a few other very poor signings of his.
Conveniently forgetting Rashford tearing the hole out of him a few weeks ago as well.

Good business getting 7 million for him, can see us bringing in McGinn now, think we may see a similar move with boyata when he returns from the world cup.

CELTIC have landed a ‘massive move’ for Northern Irish teenager Ben Wylie from Linfield Rangers.

Reports from Belfast Live claim that the Hoops have snapped up the Ballymena youngster.

The 15-year old will put pen-to-paper some time next week before joining up with the Celtic squad at the start of July.

The midfielder has joined from Linfield Rangers, the Belfast club’s youth side.

Wylie has also starred for Northern Ireland at youth level and his performances have resulted in a host of teams trying to acquire his services.

But it appears Brendan Rodgers has won the race for his signature and Linfield boss and ex-Rangers striker David Healy is not surprised a club like Celtic came calling.

He said: “It is great to see Ben signing the contract with Celtic. He will head over in the next week or so to start his apprenticeship.

“He was at Linfield for a number of years and anytime I watched him he always impressed.

“He has played youth football at international level for the past couple of years and also played a big part in our youth cup final team.

“Ben has always been held in high regard, and he has been watched by a number of clubs in England and Scotland.

“He has had the chance to sign for a good club that will look after him and really develop him as a player, and we wish him every success.

“Ben is a midfielder who is tidy on the ball.

“He has a swagger about him, which is a good thing. He can play in numerous positions, and I hope he gets the chance to do that at Celtic because it will really bring him on.

“Obviously, I am disappointed for Linfield to lose a player of Ben’s talent. But at the same time we would never stand in the way of a player moving to a club like Celtic.

“He has loads of ability and he also has the right mentality to be a success in full-time football.

“Celtic is also a club that will look after him and makes sure he settles in.

“I have seen a lot of young players travel to clubs in English League One and Two, and it isn’t long before they are released and end up back home again.

“The percentage of players who end up back here is too high.

“The good thing with Ben is that he is going to a club that has a proven record of developing young players.

“Conor Hazard is a good example of a Northern Ireland lad who has gone there and really progressed.”
