Paddy McCourt would be long forgotten about, if he wasn't from Derry. Paddy McMyth, as one guy in our CSC used to call him.

Rogic is about the only player we have who can take the ball under pressure in big European games. He’s just played in he World Cup and kept Frances midfield relatively quiet. Compared to McCourt who very occasionally would turn it on against 2nd and 3rd rate teams. Rogic everyday of the week. Absolute diamond of a player

Must admit I think Rogic's biggest strength is his ability to take the ball & keep it under pressure in the SPFL...but in Europe he seems to be brushed aside easily, certainly v Munich & PSG.

I'm a huge fan of Rogic, but a class short of the true big guns.

Tam Rogic has great feet the best at the club but i feel like we have a few that can take ball under pressure in Europe at the moment. The task for Brendan is to get that number up from 4/5 players to 8/9/10 if we are going to see big wins in europe come back

It was you who called him that, wasn't it?

Not entirely sure he played the biggest part in keeping France's midfield quiet.

I've no idea how this has turned into a Rogic v McCourt thread  however as good as Rogic is, his lack of athleticism in Europe kills us when trying to press teams.

God this thread is desperate now. No transfer news/activity/rumours so were are reduced to talking about the merits of Paddy McCourt.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
yes.
And he always will be. Never a left back in a million years.
Agreed feel that he could have contributed further forward last season. Maybe Brendan played him at LB to strengthen his defensive game.

Thought he had a quiet, unremarkable game v France tbh.

Down in that there London. Talking to a Crystal Palace fan. Says they’ve been linked with a transfer for Dembele today (as well as ongoing speculation about Armstrong to Palace).

Decent lad so I had to say no disrespect when saying Moussa will go to a much better team than Crystal effing Palace.

Dougie Freedman director of fitba so mibees keeps an eye on the Scottish game being from Cumbernauld.

Damn those bastards at CP for not letting loose and keeping things under the radar.

How about this.

Moussa off to Dortmund for 40 million.

Messi wants to come to CP. First result he always looked for at the end of the game.

Robbie Keane would come back if we ask.

And that fella Kadlec, who must be about 50 now.

And we sill don’t have back up for KT or a CB even if DB plays like Beckenbauer for the next few weeks.

No news is good news.
