Bohemians Prague - 30 June - Huber Arena - 14:00

Sparta Prague - 3 July - financial planning arena - 16:30
The Bohemians game sounds great - the Huber arena is at Wels FC - a small regional league team. They have one pretty new stand and grass on 3 sides apart from that.....I know it as my son played a tournament there last year. It would be a good place to watch a game and get very close to the action.

Not sure about the second fixture on 3 July and where that could be. Any more details ?
Rohrbach I think?

That would be handy for the team as it's just down the road from their hotel. The ground in Rohrbach is so small I'm surprised it has a name like that....I think you are right though having done a quick check.

Perfect for me - all 3 games in Upper Austria.

BRENDAN Rodgers’ Double Treble winners will play three friendly matches in Austria as part of their pre-season schedule, ahead of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers next month.

The first of those games is against SK Vorwarts Steyr on Wednesday, June 27 (KO: 5.30pm Celtic Park time) at the Life Radio Arena in Steyr. Last season SK Vorwarts Steyr won promotion to the second tier of Austrian football.

Three days later, on Saturday, June 30, Celtic take on Bohemians 1905 at the Huber Arena in the Austrian town of Wels (KO: 2pm).

It will be a clash of the green and whites as the Prague-based side, who finished seventh in the Czech top division last season, play in green and white stripes. Their chairman is now Antonín Panenka, famous for his audacious chipped penalty to win the 1976 European Championships for Czechoslovakia, a technique replicated by Moussa Dembele in last season’s 4-0 Scottish Cup semi-final victory over Rangers at Hampden.

The third pre-season match in Austria takes place on Tuesday, July 3 at the Stallinger Financial Planning Arena in Rohrbach (KO: 4.30pm), when the Hoops take on Sparta Prague, who finished fifth in last season’s Czech league.

Brendan Rodgers’ side will also return to Dublin this season for a friendly against Shamrock Rovers on Saturday, July 7 at the Tallaght Stadium (KO: 3pm).

When are the team back in pre-season training. I would guess its next monday, which is a very short turn over, particularly for the likes of Hendry and Christie who were just getting back from Mexico last week.

I imagine they'll get an extra week off and not join up with them until meeting up at the airport to head to Austria on Monday 25th

Morgan said he is coming in Monday, but he had a few weeks off prior to Scotland getting together for the SA internationals. I would guess most of those who played non-World Cup internationals - Moussa, Ntcham, Ajer, Johnston, Ralston, etc - will get an extra week off before joining up.

Heard a rumour of a friendly v Athletic Bilbao because of the NB connection. I think an actual tourney would have been announced before now if it were happening.

The Scottish FA’s list of pre-season fixtures is showing a second game on the 3rd, between BW Linz and Celtic Reserves, at 11 am BST at the same arena in Rohrbach. This must be the closed-doors match that was rumored earlier.

Won’t happen. Brendan likes minimal media coverage. Few print Journos invited along with guys from SNS.

None of that red eye easyjet stuff. Private charter for players, staff and journalists leaves Glasgow at 3.30 this afternoon.
