Still expecting two more games to be announced for late June / early July as part of the Austrian trip. Hopefully against better teams like Sturm Graz, Red Bull Salzburg or Rapid Vienna (though we have played Rapid twice in the last 4 years). Odd that no firm schedule has been announced: the organising Austrian company Global Sports confirmed there would be additional games announced (which I read as 2 games) and that the team will be based in the same hotel as last year. It just seems odd that last year it was all communicated just after the cup final. Hopefully there are no last minute hitches....
We're usually pretty organised about this stuff.

Normally play 4 games on the Austrian tour but we might cut that down given the extra round we're due to play in qualifiers.

If there's a commercial agent or sponsor who is paying for it then we might not be allowed to announce matches until after they do

I wondered if someone sponsors or at least subsidises the cost of coming to Austria (like the Upper Austrian government for example). I hope you're right and everything gets communicated soon....if just so I can book holiday from work to travel to all of the games. Feeling very lucky that Celtic keep coming back to Austria

Booked a flight to Salzburg on the 27th for the Steyr game. Ryanair from Stansted for buttons so will wait and see what other games come up before booking a return. Sure there’ll be a game in Vienna or Prague on the Saturday. Only hold up is these teams won’t be back as World Cup still on.

Feel like I have to go to Steyr again to see us as followed info on here in Deilas 1st summer (2014?) and tried to go to a game v Dukla in Steyr. Got there, checked in Hotel and headed for the game only to be told at the empty stadium that the game was in Freistadt -90km away!! I have a point to prove

Edit: Steyr a beautiful spot - old town, two rivers, whole area worth a trip. Linz nearest for the flight but only Tues/Sat

Certainly Steyr is a nice spot to start pre-season. Given the team are based at the Hotel Aigo and training at the Union Aigen Schlägl ground during the visit, I guess most games would be within 2 hours of there.....unless they relocate somewhere like with Prague last year. Would just love to know the game dates and locations.

Played Cardiff the week before the Glorious Wembley Cup run, can remember pathetic wee gangs of Matalan casuals trying to start bother after it, strange bunch.

I wasn't living here then but I was at that game, effing terrible game it was too. Don't remember any bother or attempted bother, but that doesn't surprise me in the slightest. City have always had a lot of micro-penised fans who think they're something special.

The Record is now reporting (in an article about Dedryck Boyata ) that the training camp in Austria is between June 25th and July 3rd, with 3 games to be played in the 9 days. The timing and games sounds about right. I'd guess the other two games would be on Saturday 30th June and Tuesday 3rd July.....but hopefully an official announcement soon.

Celtic are to take part in a pre-season competition involving French giants Marseille and Premier League Southampton ahead of the new Scottish season.

The Hoops will head to South Shields for the tournament between Friday, July 27, and Sunday, July 29, with the host club completing the field.

Likely to be an U23 side featuring in this I'd imagine.
