By cooperating with globalsports , it has been possible to steer a very attractive test opponent to Steyr. Scottish series champion Celtic Glasgow will be at the Life Radio Arena on Wednesday, June 27th. Expected kick-off time is at 19 o'clock. "The Boys", coached by former Liverpool coach Brendan Rogers, will come to the training camp in Upper Austria this summer

From their website
Good practice

"Vorwarts were a successful club who played in Austria's Bundesliga and played in Europe, until they went bankrupt in 1999.

After reforming in the Austrian amateur leagues, they have battled their way back through the league tiers and are back in the second flight."

I think you mean 'after being illegally demoted...'

Can't see it being a very strong team to face Shamrock Rovers as the first qualifier we have for Europe is on the 10/11th July.

Only good thing about pre season is seeing any potential new signings. Feels like with CL qualifiers though it gets earlier and earlier.

I must admit to loving pre-season, I like seeing ne signings & young players given their chances in the "swapping an entire team at half-time shenanigans".
I'd really like to see us play much more development players, funnily enough I think it would give us more pointy, rather than less. All the games we've dropped points this season, I'd rather have played some other players.

We should be getting the hang of how to set up for these games so early in the season & rotating the squad should surely help. Hopefully going back to Austria again is a good omen, we like it & we know it, similar to Dubai in winter - we like using the same places/people.

Rovers also play Cork the day before so it's probably be a second string Celtic v second string Rovers. Same as last year. I think the third stand in Tallaght will be built by then, might make it a bit easier to grab a ticket.

Oh please be true. :clover: I went over and had a thoroughly great time last year when we played them. Another excuse for a visit to the Emerald Isle.

It'll be easy to grab a ticket for it - they're charging €30 and €17.50 for U14 :nono:

was only €20 last year and it didn't sell out (albeit they had put in a temporary stand).

Can't see many Rovers fans paying that to see Celtic crush their U19s again. Doubt I'll bother at that price either.
