I hope he does come in with a bunch of money.

I'd like to see what Brendan can do with some extra motivation and some ££ from the board to strengthen the team if the Huns do spend a few bob.

Might even have a beneficial effect on our general level of play and the talent required for CL group qualification.

There is no way this doesn't end in a masssive clustereff for Rangers. To even start they need at least 7-8 quality players that could at least get a sniff of our match day team...........mental.
Think you are forgetting the fact Gerrard has no managerial experience - BR will tear him a new one as will Neil Lennon and McInnes

good for the spl for about 3-4 months should certainly raise some interest in England, ex england captain etc. how much would it take over 3 years to challenge us ?
Watch all these English journalists get lost in Johnstone, Renfrew, the first time Gerrard takes his Rangers team to play St Johnstone away!

Talk about the clock ticking with us on 7 in a row already. No pressure there. He must be on good money and hopefully they'll start spunking cash they don't have on players right away. Huge losses and disaster awaits.

To be honest I always liked him as a player.

Now, I temporarily despise him. Though I get the feeling, in the not too distant future, I'm going to absolutely love him

Stevie G. The greatest thing since, well the last greatest thing for that mob

They never learn and their tears when they start greeting when it goes wrong again will be even tastier
Fool me once, shame on me.

Fool me McCoist, Green, Whtye, 3 Bears, King, Dallas Coyboys, Warburton, McInnes, Alves, Barton, Murty, Chinese money for Morelos, Caixinha times then it must be time for 55 league titles.

It's almost a shame.

And their supposed first target is a 33 year old defender who will demand massive wages, with zero selling on fee.

I just looked up their last set of unaudited accounts. 6 months up to 31st Dec 2017.
At that point they have a total of £17.7M of investor loans. They also took in that Close Brothers loan giving away the security of the car park etc for £3M or so.
The audited accounts before that say that they had a “projected shortfall of £4M in season 2017/18 and a further £3.2M in season 2018/19”.

So they need £3.2M just to stand still next season. They’ll be paying Gerrard plenty, and this new investment will need to be an interest free loan in addition to the £17.7M, or a new share offer. The share offer can’t happen due to the take over panel and Dave King having to pay around £11M for that. Plus they are still bumped off the stock market. So only maniacs would buy the stock under those circumstances.

If they do get funding they’ll be effed.

What really annoys me is that this is all happened coz they got away with the EBT's, Euro licence and all the other shady deals. If they had been dealt with properly, forced to start living within their means they’d have a decent corporate structure and be building like a normal football club. Not one built on debt, AGAIN!

They must be getting cash from somewhere. I can't imagine Stevie Gee really wants to come up and try to show Halliday and Holt how to make a 5 yard pass.

Phil not got any insight into today's forthcoming extravaganza?

Is there any confirmation of either the signing or the "investment" (I know)?

Went to bed last night and the rumour was just gathering momentum but this morning there seems to be a figure attached to it now - who's warchesting him up with £120M big ones then?

That wouldn't be utter peesh by any chance would it?
