The celtic support should be delighted by this appointment. I knew he would take it, he has nothing to lose coming to it as an u-18 coach at Liverpool and when it goes tits up he will still be ok for a gig in england.

The guys a total dick, and I can see him getting into the hun mindset very quickly.

Always had a strong dislike for Gerrard. This is beautiful news to me.
To be honest I always liked him as a player.

Now, I temporarily despise him. Though I get the feeling, in the not too distant future, I'm going to absolutely love him

Personally, I CGAF about Gerrard being appointed manager at Sevco. Indeed, it's hilarious. Laughable nonsense to pitch an inexperienced rookie youth coach against Brendan Rodgers' Celtic powerhouse, and for that matter, against Stevie Clarke, Neil Lennon, Derek McInnes, Tommy Wright, Stephen Robinson and even Craig Levein.

However, I am intrigued about the claimed "investment" / "warchest."

How much is it? Where is it coming from? Who is it coming from? What are the terms? How is it going to be introduced into Sevco? Does it exist?

And how does this "warchest" square with Sevco's calamitous accounts, the dilapidated Ibrokes which is in desperate need of repair, their ongoing financial losses, their debts, their £17m loans to directors, the secured £3m loan from Close Brothers (with its onerous terms), the kit deal with the third rate Hummell and, of course, the Takeover Panel / Court Of Session ruling, which is a tightening on King testicles?

And then there's the directors walking away on the eve of this "great news." Specifically, Potless Paul, the glory-hunting, blazer-chasing, spotlight-seeking Murray.
All ligitimate and sensible questions

It would appear the answer is ‘you wouldn’t understand Timmy’

That’s pretty much all I’m reading from them
Questions that the Sevco sycophants and lickspittles in the compliant SMSM will not ask ?

For instance, has GASL finally used that infamous 'Sale And Lease Back' document ?

Things I don't understand, can you just stick £120 million into a club or does that mean you have actually bought it? How would that affect the TOP court case? If I had given a manager £120 m to spend and then asked him with all that cash who his first signing would be and he said Skirtel I reckon I would say thanks for coming we'll let you know. In fact if I had given him £20 m as has been reported SG insisted on and he said Skirtel I think I would give it a miss.

I hope he does come in with a bunch of money.

I'd like to see what Brendan can do with some extra motivation and some ££ from the board to strengthen the team if the Huns do spend a few bob.

Might even have a beneficial effect on our general level of play and the talent required for CL group qualification.

There is no way this doesn't end in a masssive clustereff for Rangers. To even start they need at least 7-8 quality players that could at least get a sniff of our match day team...........mental.

Hun origin rumour is Ashley is back in and King out hence the resignations of the directors that helped King oust big bad Mike.
except Ashley still owns Newcastle and can't own a majority share in another club.

Does anyone ever stop and digest this nonsense?
I think this is a fairly common misconception. Uefa ownership rules only apply to clubs playing in the same competitions. As Newcastle won't be applying for a European license any time soon, there is nothing stopping Ashley buying Rangers outright. And even if Newcastle do get into Europe before they are sold, Ashley would be entitled to acquire up to 49 per cent of Rangers with no conflict of interest. This would easily give him a controlling stake. Like I say though, the issue only becomes live if both Newcastle and Rangers qualify for the Europa League.

Brendan in a panic and will jump ship........yes a hun just said that to me.

If anything it will make Brendan even more determined to win everything, he is a guy the thinks you have to earn your place so the fact SG has basically
walked in to the job with no experience will maybe annoy him, he certainly won't want a former player of his to get one over him. Brendan is a proud man
and has worked from the bottom up, nothing has been handed to him on a plate, i am sure Brendan will want to ram that fact down their throats next season.

Brendan is known for his empathy and encouragement of novice managers. (Feck, he even had Elbows at Lennoxtown at one point!)

So you are embarking on your first foray into management. This task is further complicated by being involved with a 'massive' club, insistent on instant success and up against against a formidable foe. Wouldn't it be prudent to ensure that you are able to pick up the phone and have counsel from an experienced, willing and wise former manager?

Naw! Gessard (as the Sevconians seem to be calling him) has mortise locked the door and stood at the window flicking the Vs instead.

He's an arrogant, egotistical pumpkin.

Or put another way, a perfect fit for the Govan Omnishambles
